Why do have a player on the bench that only can play 5 to 10 min. A player who has not played in several weeks
because who else we picking? We have Dier, Romero, Phillips, Sess, Bentancur, Sarr, Maddison, Soloman and Perisic all out and a 9 man bench filled
Maybe having Richarlison with his experience will help the youngsters around him on the bench even if he doesn't come on

Partey, zinchenko, Jesus, odegaard have all been out for a period of time. Absolute myth we have more injuries than anyone else, we just don’t have the depth to deal with it.

Newcastle and Man Utd have had similar injury crises to us, funnily enough they’re doing about as well as us, although they’ve performed better whilst being hammered by injuries than we have with 3 losses for us and our only points coming when blessed with most first team players available.

So much self loathing about our injury crisis in here ffs, couldn’t be more boring.
Oh do fuck off🤣🤣🤣

I think we're going to take an absolute pasting today, something like 5-2. But the football will be good and we'll keep making progress towards where Ange wants us.

This is a positive post btw. But until our squad is sorted, we won't get anything at the Etihad without playing on the counter and we won't do that at the moment whilst Ange is getting his playing style instilled.

Fair play to Ange, he's going for it, given the resources he has. Forget the back four, Bissouma is going to be very busy in the middle of the park. We need a big game from him.

Giving him consistent game time is certainly the best way to build his confidence. We just need to allow him and Johnson a little patience.
💯 game time, match rhythm and fitness are massive to build players confidence and momentum.

If he gets a run of games now we will start to really see if he will cut the mustard for us or not.

There has always looked a player in there for me it’s just his physicality that is the question mark.

Im excited to see him play. He was very good vs Villa.

I think it’s potentially going to painful today but want to see us keep getting at them which I think we will

So on bench 2 goalies, 1 defender, 2 midfielders and 4 attacking players - at least we have options if we end up chasing

As long as Ange is brave enough to use Donley and Santiago ahead of older work horses

Play like we did against Villa and take our chances then you just never know.

Just need to hope that Haaland has an off day.
