Physically, Walker v GIl is man v boy. Needs to come off at half time if Richarlison is in a position to play 45 mins.

Yeah, pump it long to the aerial powerhouses we have up front?!
It'll just come straight back at us.
Can't disagree. But giving it away in our final third is madness.

We're playing the best team in Europe with a depleted squad, who will create plenty of chances against the best defences.

We've done alright to keep it at 2-1, we were never getting anything from this.

All the criticism of Gil yet most of the time we are able to play out on our
Left. Struggling on the right side.

Really nothing against Gil, and I’m not even digging him out, but he really is just a decent player who has ended up in the wrong league.

La Liga or similar he could have a good career, but I just can’t ever see him having the strength or presence required to make any success of himself in the premier league. Just too lightweight.

Looks like a very young youth player filling in.
City just too strong for him. He can do a job for us.

...and another. Every single goal we have conceded in the last two games was due to lack of communication in central defense. In what planet is Davies+Royal in CD preferable to playing Dier, I don't know. Not to mention Watkins' disallowed effort and the Haaland sitters. We have seen Conte and Mou, but Ange's stubbornness is something else.
Dier is injured.

I think Hojbjerg would make himself available for the defences, which Lo Celso and Yves haven’t really.

Not to Sonny but have BJ start wide and drop it over the full backs. He’s already beaten him in a foot race once

Kyle Walker is just unbelievably good. Still the best fullback in Europe and arguably the best RB to ever play in the PL.

I think I would be tempted to bring on Dorrington for Bryan, playing Emerson RB and pushing Porro up to RM to help with Doku. Either that or PEH for Bryan, Kulu RM, Johnson left.

Yeah no one’d complain if we played Dier.

Lot of overreactions here. We are down to the barebones defensively. I still think we look dangerous on the break. Our final ball has been underwhelming. If we sort that out we may have got another goal. Just like their finishing has been underwhelming too.
Na don’t think there are overreactions, they’ve had 11 shots to our 2 and have really dominated us, but that is fine we expected this with the line-up we’ve had to put out, the boys out there are giving 110% and trying to play the way Ange wants but this could be 4/5-1, Haaland has missed 2 sitters and they’ve hit the post and bar, let’s not pretend we are or have particularly been in the game here.

But sure whilst the score line is like it is let’s see but with nothing on the bench can’t see it changing unfortunately.

But again not a criticism of Ange at all, perfectly happy with the approach it’s just highlighting which of our players aren’t quite up to it.

Well we've got to half time having scored one more and conceded two less than I expected. Can't complain at that :cautious:.

I don’t feel that upset about things. If we had a full strength team and not a makeshift defence I’d be a bit more disappointed.
PS. Atmosphere worst In the league ?
