Emerson has to go off. Complete liability with his passing. Can dorrington play with the ball? If so he needs to come on, although its such a risk in terms of destroying his confidence
If we're worried about our youth players mentality, then they have no place being on the bench. I say that it's just as much damage to there confidence that there being over looked for a Royal and Davies! Give them a go, good and bad experiences will always make those with decent character much stronger for that experience?

What did some of you think was going to happen? We are playing 2 squad fullbacks at CB. We aren’t playing some crazy high line. We are up against the treble winners who can taste the blood in the water. We are down to the bare bones here. It was always going to be a defeat unless a miracle happened.

I think I would be tempted to bring on Dorrington for Bryan, playing Emerson RB and pushing Porro up to RM to help with Doku.
That’s a really decent shout actually.

Or PEH on and put Johnson LW and move Kulu back to RW.

Gil is the biggest weak link out there today.

Plenty of people happy to judge Gil on this game, but he's at least showing for the ball trying to make things happen even if he's struggling. Lo Celso just drifts around, no tackles, no dribbles, no shots, through balls... just very very quiet
Yea fair points although it is extremely hard for Lo Celso in there today and a lot of the ball is out wide.

Emerson and Davies obviously both having absolute howlers. Not their fault. Bissouma has been disappointing however, which hasn't helped us play out.

All things considered coming in at the half only a goal down isn't too bad.
