It is worth pointing out, if only for argument's sake, that those players won this fixture last season, 2-0.
Then it was all down hill after. I was hoping we would be starting the season with 2 or three new signings but again we've left it late and we are without Kane.

No doubt City will be favorites for the title this season. I think it good to face them now. Missing a couple of keys players, first game.....you never know.

4-1 Spurs (Dier, Winks, Dele and Kane to come on and score the 4th in injury time).

Except that it wasn't. We went top of the table the day we beat Man City. We then drew away with Chelsea and beat Arsenal at home. Still top. Drew with Palace away. Still top.

Then we blew the match against Liverpool away in the dying stages, the start of a pattern that - all by itself - ruined our season. It was all downhill after that. Nearly four weeks after beating Man City.

So we're O.K for the first 4 weeks then?

Think it will be a tight scoreline, not that worried about getting smashed. I've got a feeling it will be 1-0 Sonny. They are favourites for a reason though, let's see.

Will be a tight scoreline with city having most of the ball. Just hope we take our chances and dont give it away as cheaply as we tend to (cough cough dele). Hoping romero, Gio play with dele in the front 3 instead of stevie

Not expecting anything out of tomorrow to be honest. We do have a great recent home record against them though. I guess now is a good time to play them. Be glad when it's over one way or another.

Would absolutely Keegan love it if we did do them after the past few weeks.

The return to a full capacity of fans could make a huge difference. I'm going 2-1 to us. Son and Dele. Lucas both assists.

I'll also predict that people will be soiling this thread with their anti-dier/winks/dele horseshit by 16:05, at the latest. At least 2 of those 3 start but some will still pop up with "Why no NDombele?" and "Why no Romero?"

it's exactly why I stay out of this thread once the game starts. Generally it's the same lot crying about how Kane has let us down.

I despise these twats with every fibre of my being, I’m desperate for Son to shut the entire footballing world up tomorrow.

Can't wait for today. Few beers and a full stadium. Just hope we can keep the mob quiet.
