Just back from the game. What a performance. One of the best atmospheres I’ve ever experienced, actually brought a tear to my eye. The love between players, fans and manager at the end really was special. COYS!

Just home from the game and am still buzzing, best atmosphere for years the place was absolutely rocking.
Everyone was a positive, Richarlison has to work on getting the ball to stick to his feet and hold it up for runners instead of tricky flicks that don't come off but he'll get there.
It was lovely to see the players grow in confidence through the game to the point they were taking people on and trying things later on in the game that they hesitated to do at the start even though we did start on the front foot.
I thought that especially applied to the keeper who, helped by some wonderful reaction saves, grew throughout the game. Sarr is getting better and better and Romero seems to have taken his vice captain role to heart and was a real leader in the defence. Bisouma has that thing like Dembele where he gets closed down by three men turns around and somehow comes away with the ball with players bouncing off of him. MVDV and Destiny looked absolutely solid again and James Maddison looks like he's got a point to prove wearing the number 10 shirt.
To mention just a few but the whole team were terrific today and most importantly they were clearly all loving it, can't remember the last time I saw the players so happy.
Still lots of signs that the players are still learning about each other but when they do it's going to be a sight to behold.
What a great evening I've had, I will probably even watch MOTD tonight😊
Echo that all 💯 👏

Watched the same game as the rest of you, and obviously I feel the same (unfamiliar) sense of optimism and pride.

One thing that I think has been overlooked however, is just how much responsibility seems to suit Romero. No rash tackles today, no impeding sense of ‘okay, here we go’ - just solid leadership. Great to see 👍

Bring me the tears of Gary Neville. Glad we shut that prick up after his dismissal of us in the preseason build up.

When did son have a shot blocked on the line? Not disputing I must have just missed it
Shaw stuck leg out, I say line was inside the 5 yard box. He had interchange ran across box and shot, Richy was probably the better option

Just watched a replay of the 2nd goal. Sonny dropped off the centre half, played it back into midfield, ball went wide and goal.
Richarlison rarely linked the play like that. He has to improve.

Good game. We are building and improving.

VDV was very nervous but settled, Porros positing first half was horrendous. We gave up some huge chances.

My biggest worry is our front 3 just look so poor. When they get on the ball they just don’t cause fear. Kulu is just too slow. He needs to either play 10 or be a sub against tired defences. We need s striker and another winger badly

I don’t think it was. It’s intentional and part of what Ange wants him to do.
Ok he wasn’t perfect but that’s because he’s a wing-back being coached to be an inverted full back, it’ll take time.

What is great is that Ange is persevering with him. Rather than say ‘nah he doesn’t fit’ and play Royal week in week out, he wants to coach and improve him so, in the long run, he may be a very, very good player for us.

United's midfield reminded of ours under you know who. Overrun, never even given a chance by the formation or players picked.

We've finally got our Dembele replacement. Hell, it might be like London busses and two have arrived at once.

Ange made a great point in his post match interview on Sky how Maddison coming into the club with no baguage was and just wanting to be great was a breath of fresh air that the club desperately needed.

It proves the point that you almost always want to be evolving the playing squad so things don't go stale.
Evolution not revolution man
