If we start with our best players, I think we can get a win.

We’ve had a whole week of rest whereas United had a midweek game.

And yet, we'll still probably lose. Hopefully one of their players gets send off again.

Really can’t call this. Could easily see us coming out and really going for it - similar to arsenal/city home matches, but in the same way it could be very like the Chelsea/Liverpool games. First 10 - 15 mins will speak volumes for the relationship between players and manager.
Couldn’t agree more about what the first 10-15 mins shows. Whatever’s happening behind the scenes, you just hope the professional pride of the players takes over and put in a performance that a week’s training and rest warrants

They actually still had 11 players on, when we were leading 2-1 but that was like aeons ago.
Dinosaurs have died out since. ☹
Think we had 2 other good chances before Martial's red. Son and Aurier maybe? We were going to win that game even against 11 men.

Tomorrow I think we'd even struggle against 10.

I find it more shocking how shit we are against the bottom teams than the top.
Have we EVER taken 18pts from the bottom 3? I haven't checked but Id be amazed if we have.
I'm pretty sure we did that in one of the two best years with Pochettino. Or near as dammit. Not sure which year, though.

When was the last time we "doubled" them in the league? Feels like we are long overdue.
I was thinking the same thing when I was writing the opening post
I'll never forget that we once managed to lose 1.0 to those fktards without them even having a shot on target.
Or that match we drew 0-0 after Mendes scored a spectacular and legitimate goal

Yeah we've been mugged by the ref dozens of times against them. Disallowed goals, penalties, sending offs, we've had the lot. When Fergie was in charge you weren't allowed to beat them.
Now they're so bad the officials had to award more penalties than the other top 3 combined to dig them out the shit but its not bent or corrupt. Oh no no. It was just a bit of a soft pen. And then another. And another. And another...
Wankers.
Football is bent as fuck and always jas been. Anyone who says otherwise is naive.

I will never get over how genius this was. It was the most blatant overreaction/dive possible but he surely knew VAR couldn’t overrule as there was clear arm raise and contact with the face.

Exactly. He knew there'd be a reaction of some sort, and it was beauty personified.

it's the way play that's costing us.. it really doesn't matter anymore who he plays, we have' if not the best strike force in the PL and still we play to lose or draw .... that's it

I would be happier if I see bale starting tomorrow. I feel if Doherty could defend, bale wouldn’t have gotten so much stick after the derby, although in fairness bale didn’t give any protection. The point is I don’t understand why he’s been dropped even though the whole team was terrible before he was subbed. Think he should get another chance, as he was key to our best form of late.
