If he had an injury I'd like to think we would've known by now, but that's now three pre season games he's missed with just two remaining.
If only we had people already saying why he is missing this game, and could be linked to others.... Nope must be injured! On you go :cautious:

I'll be interested to see how we set up. The two teams that played against Colchester played different shapes when in possession. This time out we don't have the metronomic passer in Winks, so we may see Skipp be given a shot in that role. Last time we also saw Omole tuck in alongside the CBs and Paskotsi given the chance to play more like a wingback. This time out we have two fullbacks that are both more at home going forwards.

looking forward to seeing Nile and Olly again - so excited by some of the younger players

Think Skipp will drop into the deeper role that Winks played last week? Interesting to see him in that role because looked like Winks was being asked to play more forward passing and Skipp has that in his locker. Would assume John will remain in a more progressive role.

Interested to see how the back four work with both Reggi and Matty D back

Rather ominous, re: Dier and Winks.

I had already assumed the latter was very likely to leave this summer. But I wonder if Dier is more of a fitness-based reason for his omission tonight. Perhaps he picked up a knock in training or in the last game.

Think Dier had an ice-pack on one of his legs after coming off last game.

I hope so. I like him and John a lot. Will also be interesting to see how adventurous Dele is allowed to get coming out of MF. We've seen him struggle in a deeper role before under Poch but if Nuno's system lets him get into the box more w/ late runs we might see some surprising productivity this year.

Are the final away kits going to have that big black square on the back without pattern or is that just for a friendly. Looks odd.
