I love (after overlooking the annoyance of missing action due to replays) how after two of the goals, by the time the cameras panned back to the action, we were on the attack again.

We are not the finished article (unsurprisingly, although it feels like some still hold expectations as such), but I love where this team is going.

Much much better ! Didn't realise how one paced the Newcastle defence is and Trippier's defending has not improved.

I wonder how long our players can keep up this work rate ? A couple of seasons ?

We played well. But they are much better than what we saw today. And up until four or five games ago had one of the stingiest defenses in the league. Plus, Trippier has been outstanding for them since they snapped him up from Athletico.

Had to miss the game because of family stuff. Been searching through the Sky schedules this week but no full game replay? They stopped doing that?

Probably our best performance under Ange, but it was against a team just drubbed by Everton, running on fumes with one eye on a UCL game in the week. Friday night is likely to be a bigger test than yesterday was.

Agree Forest will be tricky. Likely to be playing against a low block again.

However yesterday was more than just the result, it was the manner of the victory and being we could and should have had a couple more.

Just caught up with MotD2 and it started with Guimares shot and the Davies denial of Isak, none of the total Spurs domination before that. Seemed to show ever time Newcastle got near our box giving it the look of a much more even game.

I was out all day yesterday so missed the whole match. Seeing the result was definitely a pleasant surprise! Watched our goals back 5 mins before 7 a side, and I'll watch the match back properly on Spurs Play. But just, again, what a great surprise. Richarlison looks a changed man after his operation, and the midfield looks different gravy with Sarr (always thought it was unfair that he was marked to be replaced by Bentancur, the lad has been mustard this season).

Just Maddz and VDV and we're properly back in business. COYS!
