Wanyama was great because he had athleticism, good close control, could adjust his body quickly and was a good short range quick passer. Hojbjerg lacks a lot of this

Agree with you mate especially in a midfield2, PEH is too slow and if you’re that slow you need Huddlestone or carrick levels of passing to and up for it. He looks ok for Denmark in a midfield 3 as an 8 against lesser opposition but he’s a 6/10 player.

Id like to see Bissouma in the 2 with Bentancur tbh, not sure why we’ve not tried that sooner as Bissouma has a better engine , is more physical, is a better passer especially in tight spaces etc, but we probably need another 2 CM’s eventually as Skipp isn’t where we need him to be and yea PEH mabye ok as 4th choice but no better than that in a squad which wants to win titles.

He’d get no where near the other top6 teams nor would he get near contes inter or Chelsea midfields but he’s one of the better options we have right now and if we had better wing backs and n.o10 options then we’d get away more with him like we did end of last season etc
