Their player was behind both Royal and Kane when he played the ball to Kane. Had Royal headed it back to Hojbjerg Kane wouldn't have been offside and when he headed it back to their defender the same applies.
It was wrong and for Uefa will within the week make a statement to that effect.
There was a defender playing Kane onside? I didn’t see that and thought that was the least controversial bit of that decision

Then, I suspect they too a moment to evaluate the ball off the defender - to make a determination whether that was an intentional play on the ball - I think that's a close call, and probably took a little time to decide.
This is another point: surely the defender was running back to get in the way of the ball and stop the cross/pass?

A pro footballer can run 33km/h top speed.

in each of the frames the error margin is approx. 16 cm- the camera cannot see more than that- so in each case the total error margin is actually 32 cm.

lmfao

I don't think you understand "margin of error", nor the physics involved in the play at question - none of the players were running at top speed...

The VAR system allows for a margin of error by using thicker lines.

Look, it was a tight call, no question, and pre-VAR, that's a goal. But, the VAR review showed Kane to be in an offside position. I don't know what else we want the officials to do in that situation.

Cant believe former professional players (and defenders at that) don't know the offside law. Actually I can, but they come off so ignorant.
I thought I knew it too until a few minutes ago.

If I'm understanding this correctly this goal only gets disallowed because of the semi automated technology that no other league or competition uses.

I feel quite positive after that second half to be honest. We showed that we can play with intensity and we are a good team. Just need to see that more. Also I really want to see Gil get a proper chance while Richarlison and Kulusevski are out. I'm not expecting him to start, but he needs at least 30 mins or so off the bench at least.

Frustrates me, as it shows we can play like that, but are choosing not to.

Not sure why we need to be in a position of desperation to resort to it

I didn't say that I said thier defender was behind Royal and Kane not between Kane and the goal. Royal played the ball backwards which is why their player was able to play it and he played it to Kane.
