Same old. Let them regroup by playing no incisive forward passes, get forced out wide to get snuffed out.

I'm much less of a Sissoko hater than most posters here on SC, but he's completely pointless in a match such as this. I'm all for him playing when we set up on the counter, and can tolerate him in matches where the opposition actually sets out to attack, but he offers absolutely nothing against a team in a low block. It's not hyperbole to say that he contributed more to West Ham in that first half than he did to Spurs.

If Winks is fit enough to play 45 minutes I'd bring him on at half time, if not we should drop Eriksen back and bring on Lamela.

That was woeful viewing. Alli and Son are half asleep, Davies can’t cross for shit and Sissoko, just when he starts to look like a decent squad player he regresses at warp speed.

Llorente for Sissoko please.

We need to try more shots from range and follow them in. There have been rebound opportunities we haven’t got anywhere near. Pumping balls into their box is exactly what they want - they’re dominating in there with ease.

Take off Sissoko for Lamela and let’s sore some goals. At least create some openings and move the ball quicker.

Eriksen is guilty of it too - he should have played Alli way quicker instead of waiting far too long before playing a slow ball behind Dele. He did really well to nutmeg the guy now right on him back into Eriksens path. A deflected goal was the best we could have hoped for in that pretty poor half of football.

Park the bus until last 10 minutes and put Carroll on and see if they can nick it! Can see their tactics

I dont have an issue with sissokos positioning or workrate and in certains games i can see why he might be used.maybe more so when defending a lead but what really irks me with him is considering his age and experience his lack of bollocks, all he wants to do is get rid of the ball as soon as possible.its like a hot potato.is nowhere near technical enough to be playing as a creative player as rarely takes an assured touch let alone gets his head up looking to pass forwards.

Been bad but Dier's been worse. He shouldn't be seen as anything other than emergency cover in central midfield. He's a CB.

Sissoko hasn't played well but tactically seems to be sitting back, has Poch told him to due to his speed to counter any break? If so Dier is the wasted space and I'd say we're better off taking him off.

Sissoko off for Winks (if he's fit).

Just need to keep plugging away and the chances will come but Sissoko offers nothing in a game like this.

Lamela and Llorente on if nothing's happening.

Don't panic. We're so much better than these it's ridiculous.

It's just not the game for Sissoko. We're better off utilising him when we're not dominating the ball.

Even Sanchez is stepping forward into midfield and passing it forward better.

Too cautious, too slow, too many touches, too blind..... We're huffing and puffing with very little concerted pressure to show for it.

Eriksen is the only one who seems to be able to find space between the lines, and make passes that cut through the lines. But he cant do it all by himself. The cm2 in particular is a complete black hole of creativity/vision/tempo setting.

Yeah it's not easy against the packed defence, we did only play 48 hours ago, but we are making it difficult on ourselves.

Amazing how everyone's managed to whip themselves up into a frenzy

I think we've been pretty good, had two shots blocked off the line, one goal disallowed, a few other close chances and got in behind a few times aswell all whilst being hardly troubled by them

Keep this up and we'll win imo

Also nice to see sissoko is tonight's designated scapegoat
