Moyes insisting the first goal should've been disallowed
All I could think about while watching that interview was “what’s happened to his eyebrows?”
Moyes insisting the first goal should've been disallowed
It was!?Moyes insisting the first goal should've been disallowed
Dier is so weird he has obvious limitations but also obvious strengths. I think we are taking our time with him. He has the potential to be an absolute rock between the ages of 27-33/34I thought Dier was a colossus at the back today, won absolutely everything in the air and all of his battles with Antonio.
This kind of sums it up for me really.Well I'm not going to complain about that.
West Ham are shite but I will always take a 2-0 in any circumstance.
Goal for Harry.
MotM again for Lo Celso, really grown into a proper replacement for Eriksen.
Clean sheet and generally, a solid defensive performance.
Only down side for me was the lacklustre first half and the lack of an appearance by N'Dombele.
As a total aside, Rice looks like the player we are currently missing. If they go down or even if they don’t I hope we are all over trying to nick him. I also think Antonio could be a very astute signing as a back up for Kane...
I cant see it hit at all. Surely it would of changed the movement of the ball. It didn't.Look, I'm probably a bit biased here but did it even hit his arm? Zamora said you could see his shirt and his muscle move and the path of the ball changed but I just couldn't see it.
Prefer Hojberg if I'm honest

This is where Andy Gray really shone. I feel I learnt so much from him when he was commentating on games. Simple things like explaining why strikers might shoot across goal instead of near post. Or explain why a referee might have decided not to book a player. He was excellent. It's the whole industry really. It feeds on controversy. In large part because a lot of pundits have no interesting insights to add or are reluctant to do so.
The latter point really annoys me, if you are a football player surely you can offer some great insights into analysing player technique, a manager on tactical things and all that, but only but a few pundits ever add anything to it. I think in part it's because a lot of these industries think they are talking to a bunch of idiots and don't understand that even an average fan is able to follow much more than they understand as they repeat the bleeding obvious or patronise the audience with really shallow takes.
Also, particularly co-commentators seem to do incredibly little pre-match prep by the looks of things, as they give 'hot takes' about players with little understanding of them.
Anyway best just ignore it, don't bother with it, just lessens football into some crap soap opera.
I really enjoyed that.
West Ham always play against us like it's their cup final.
We won
No injuries.
Clean sheet.
Professional performance overall
Job done today.

I thought we played reasonably well second half - although towards the end we just recycled the ball and kept possession rather than any real attempts to score a 3rd. West Ham were pretty poor, but I think I'm gradually getting used to Jose's team organisation. We've gone from possession football to more direct quick counter attacks - I think I like it.I really enjoyed winning against the Spammers but the football was as dull as dishwater imo. It was what I expected when Jose was appointed so not particularly surprising.
Issa Diop, Rice, Bowen, Antonio, they have some solid players but as always they lack balance and rely on Noble in midfield.
