Spurs youngster who retired about 6-7 years ago

Can someone help me remember who he is?

He played up front and I remember him being on old football manager games from about 6-7 years ago, and then something happened to him and there was an article on the OS saying thoughts were with his family and then nothing else.

He still appeared on the OS for a couple of years afterwards in the youth / reserve team section, but basically there was no news about him.

So I'm trying to remember what his name was and what happened to him to basically make him retire.

I remember asking at the time on 606 but no one wanted to say what was wrong.

There was one kid who I seem to remember was diagnosed with a heart condition a few years ago, can't remember his name.

Terry Dixon was the kid who was called up to the Ireland senior squad at 16 but who fucked his knee twice in two years and had to give up his career. West Ham tried to patch him up after we'd let him go but they also failed. Now plays non-league.

Hopefully he won if there was negligence due to the fact he was still in the youth teams!

Surly if he was successful in his lawsuit against the club the club would look to sue the doctor for its losses.

I don't think it has been to court yet as as there was a reference to him suing the club in March of this year.

I thought the club had looked after him. A few years back iirc they had given him a new contract out of goodwill and were going to find him a coaching role. Maybe it was a way to try and placate him and his family if there was a fuck up...
