It would be helpful if someone, ideally, the OP, posted the link and the at least part of the story.

From the Daily Mail

Spurs will remain in Munich overnight after being refused permission to fly home from their pre-season tournament early.
Club officials, at the prompting of manager Mauricio Pochettino, had tried to bring their service to London forward to Wednesday evening ahead of Saturday's 12.45pm season opener at Manchester United.

However, their request was turned down by German authorities who were unable to find an airport slot for them.

This really is a nothing story. They're coming back today having no doubt stayed in a luxury hotel last night with what can't be much more than a 2 hour flight.

Footballers are used to travelling and know that it comes with the lifestyle.

I was gonna say, flying back from Munich isn't going to take them that much longer or be any more tiring than flying up to Newcastle or Sunderland for a PL game.

I can just imagine Bayern's training ground now. Dog shit on the field, mud and holes all over the place. Maybe an encampment of travelers on the outskirts.

Oh, wait. No, it's probably really nice and the extra night's sleep without travel is probably fine.

It's actually, surprise surprise, a total non Story.
Spurs had tried to pull their flights Forward, as originally they had planned to leave today anyway but tried last Minute to go home earlier. German authorities said no due to lack of flight Options, end of Story.

Happened to me many a time... you book safe and then realise you 'could' actually get away earlier when there and alas there just aren't always available flights.

Didn't think I could get pissed off about fixture congestion before the season starts. Congratulation spurs. Your incompetence continues to prove me wrong. And this? This is the icing on the cake. Good job. Really well done.

LoL One of the best stadium in Europe IMO.... and they most likely stayed in Hilton, has meeting rooms to plan their Man U game and is 1 hr drive to Alliance... once done with training, they go to airport which is 15min away. Get home on time for dinner... what is the fuss?

Such a non-story and yet so many of our fans will buy it, and be delighted at another "reason" to moan at the club.

Wow, I hope you're being sarcastic but I have a feeling that you're really not. And this is a real drama queen rant about nothing. You have achieved RAWK level of fandomme!

Sleep in luxury hotel

Train at 10 am

Fly home at 1pm German time

Arrive in London by 2pm local time

Be in their mansions by 4pm latest

Don't see any issue here
