Right at this moment there is a meeting going on at which Daniel Levy is present at Harringay council.

This meeting is to look at plans of the new stadium.

This suggests that the new stadium is a revamped WHL or at the very least still in the borough of Harringay.

Thanks for the info

I do hope it's a revamp, we own so much property there as it is!

This means they're looking to stay in haringey as their first option.

Thanks for sharing. I guess we knew this dialogue was ongoing but confirms it's still an option on the table (for the moment!).

Timely with the report on Ar5ena1's stadium on BBC London news this evening...

If someone rings haringey council quickly and asks if daniel levy can be urgently interrupted, you might have a half chance to find out straight from the horses mouth!

Spurs have 4 or 5 people at the meeting but I understand that the drawings are not present as the new set are not complete.

any fan would rather stay at new revamped WHL im sure

main trouble is where to play while developing really. can we afford to have smaller attendances for a year or whatever??

still good to hear we are discussing options

If this is true then good but let's hope Haringey have the got the brains to play ball (no pun intended)

...and seeing most employees of London councils are utter feckwits then let's not hold our breath

Not really related at all in fact, but anyone heard about the upcoming film "Incendiary"? Ewen Mcgregor film where the Emirates gets blown up by terrorists (what's that they say about one man's terrorist?...).

for me it's better to stay at the Lane and if that means losing capacity for a while , so be it.

The obvious route in that scenario would be do the smallest (hopefully easiest) stand first - maybe get it done over the summer - if not lose the capacity for a while - as long as season tickets were honoured - then once one bit is done - the rest is no problem capacity wise -

but of course I know as much about developing grounds as I do about goalkeeping - very little

what I do know is I don't want to ground share with Hammers - I can't see it happening with Arsenal or Wembley - and I don't see anywhere else that's preferable to a reduced capacity Lane

incidentally while in reduced capacity - we might get special dispensation to play a couple of 'big' games at Wembley or wherever - that'd be fine by me - I just don't want us 'homeless' at any stage

As a long-time Tottenham resident I can confirm that Haringey council is as hopeless as any (although some of the individual councillors are good people). But whilst Sugar was in charge his attitude didn't make him or the club overly popular with the locals and the relationship with the council was pretty frosty, to say the least. But I think the club has really been making a big effort in recent years to be a major force for improvement in Tottenham.

As for moving away whilst the new stadium is being constructed, assuming the club is seeking to build on the land north of Paxton (which will mean buying up the Winfield Trading Estate) there is ample room there to build a brand-new stadium whilst the existing one remains in use. This seems the sensible thing to do.

If possible, building a new ground next door would be the best option. Most grounds where people extend or tack on new stands end up a bit shit. Old Trafford is a good example of this. It was brilliant (for a home fan) in around 1993/94, but now when you're in the 2nd tier the 3rd tier disrupts the view and comes over your line of sight a lot.

Of course, if they hadn't made such a total bollocks of the West Stand rebuild we'd have a 40,000+ capacity now.
