I started a thread on this guy a few days ago and it was taken down after a few hours as the source was unreliable

I feel like the modric comparisons, in terms of play style, are not far off. A CM 3 of Lobotka - Eriksen - Winks would be really tidy and fun to watch.

I know Ally G is well liked by many on here - probably because he used to post, but I treat his tweets with a massive pinch of salt.

He got the Sanchez deal completely wrong previously.

He could be right on this but he is definitely not ITK. He is just a freelance journalist who is a Spurs fan and would love to be more important than he is.

I really don’t enjoy his journalism, but I know many people on here do - so don’t want to be overly critical. He is a trier, for sure.
Ally G is just excited to actually have a voice, but his voice is wildly inaccurate.

I would be thrilled if he signed for Spurs (I went to a Spurs match against Coventry once, back when Ginola played for you). He is easily the best Slovakian player right now. He absolutely stormed into the national team from the U21, scoring at Wembley against England in the process. He pretty much doesn't lose the ball even when under pressure. He just takes the ball, dribbles past 2 or 3 players and passes it precisely to a teammate.

Thanks for the info. He sounds like he's exactly what we need in a Dembele replacement. Do you think he's ready for the Premier League?

Not sure I'm confident about a player who's gonna be labelled "Labotomy" after the first foot he puts wrong. ;)

The fact the journo said he'd be shocked if Grealish started tonight makes me more convinced this deal is one that will occur before end of window.

Man that alasdair gold news gutted me after reading a few write ups. We can all dismiss AG as much as we want but the fact is he said we arent in for a lot of these people and they are not here. One deal not being in the know (sanchez) doesnt write him off even if he does piss me off because its not what i want to hear.

Gold is part of the special trio with Pearce and Kilpatrick who seem to just be told by the club to deny everything until the point in which something is undeniable

I kind of miss the days of Redknapp categorically saying we weren’t interested in Cudicini before signing him the following day :D.

I actually think he is. He is very strong physically despite his short stature and he is also strong mentally in the sense that he doesn't worry too much about things (not meant in a bad way). I honestly think he'd be an excellent purchase and great value for money.

And no, I am not his agent, unfortunately. :D I do not normally rave about players either, I just follow football for professional reasons and I have been following Lobotka's seamless transitions to bigger and bigger clubs. Just thought I'd share my opinions of him on here.

So we’re dismissing Ali G because no one wants to burst the fluffy bubble optimism that has developed today? Okay, i’m down with that. Makes this place a damn site more bearable than it was yesterday.
