Yeah but all that is forgotten now that Mou has said it! The amount of hate for our manager on this forum is insane.
you honestly dont see the difference between a manager humiliating a player publicly and an anonymous internet forum?

Maybe the manager has told him not to do it because it gives up possession easily?

Maybe he’s told him not to do it and that is why he doesn’t get to play games?

Maybe the player isn’t listening to his manager and he’s pissed off about it?

Check out the dele thread. There’s a hundred and one posters moaning about dele’s flicks for the last 3/4years.
we lose possession all the fucking time. Kane has sloppy touches regularly, taking too long on the ball or trying dribble moves that rarely work. Lucas is an error machine, he will find ways to be dispossessed every game. Bale the same, he had several miscues making cross field passes that lead to players gaining possession with room to run. and I could go on about Ndombele, Lo Celso, etc. etc..

was Dele right to try what he did? maybe not. is that enough to single him out on a goal where we show several other flaws and in which no advantage was created off Dele's error? fuck no. he could have pointed that out in training, in the locker room, I don't care. not in public. especially when he protects other idiots who do idiotic things constantly.

Spurs fans are all too happy to call certain players out, call them names under the sun, have petty agendas and generally don't show them any support but when our manager says it he's the devil reincarnated :)

are you still too young to understand the difference between a fan's opinion on a random forum and a public name calling from the manager?

If the tweet is exactly what Mourinho said word for word, seriously there isn't as much malicious intent of him to throw Dele under the bus as compared to what some here are suggesting that Mourinho is doing. People just like to add contextual meaning to his answers and criticise him.

You're either incredibly naïve or being willfully obtuse.

Where do you think fans opinions reverberate to?, how do you think rumours spread and agendas circulate because this is what happens especially now in the age of social media, it becomes an echo chamber to the point where enough people say something whether positively or negatively it becomes gospel so for example Dele being sloppy doesn't start and end on SC, it ends up on the like of Twitter/Instagram and in the stadiums and eventually the players get wind of it.

You may say you have a right to voice your opinion as a fan of the club you support and that's fair enough but then our manager has a right to manage the way he sees fit so there should be no complaints.

that's some great gymnastics right there to detour from the original question.

Its also how what he said came across.. I haven't seen the press conference just some select quotes. But given Dele had a decent game for 45/50 minutes you would think any half decent manager would be bringing this up instead it appears that Jose has just gone straight for Dele throat and blamed him for a goal conceded when there were at least three more players more to blame for that goal. Just cause Dele had the audacity to try something different and not play like a robot which appears to be the Jose way.

Has Jose said anything about Dele after the match?
Or are we getting worked up about something he shouted from the sidelines in the heat of the moment?
Something that normally, we wouldn't have heard.

Hows it boring, we attacked the whole fucking game?

I’m not sure what some of you want. At this point I think it’s just trolling.
It's almost as if there's one common denominator that regardless of how we play, which players play, how well or badly they play, that one common denominator is the problem for some.

I can't think what it might be, though... ?

there's just no fucking way we're blaming Alli for a flick to the other frontman with 9 guys behind the ball joint with the fact that they went all the way back to the keeper, hoofed it and we lost contain of the ball in the middle and the runners wide... just no fucking way. if Mourinho really said that, he can fuck right off. that's just handpicking what fits his narrative, whatever that is.

I just watched the highlights, and Dele's flick happened so far before the goal that it didn't even make it into the replay.

Guess I'll have to take Mou's word for it that it even happened...

Love the standing up for a playing wearing our colours.
As per a previous post. He does have his qualities. Very useful against ‘top 6’ sides where he can use his physicality to limit the oppo.
Equally He does however have a series of limitations. Touch, movement and positioning in possession. Not competing for balls in the air.
He is an excellent squad, situational player, but his 2nd CM slot next to PEH is an area to be upgraded.
He can’t really pass either. Great athlete not really a natural footballer.

I never said any of that, you did ?
I not specifically talking about the draw or anti spurs I just think the FA is corrupt and I believe they favour the money clubs because it benefits them financially

I know sorry - i read it back and it was looking like i was having a dig at you - apologies...

I was havign a dig at the whole board :)
