Three goal keepers out of contract in the summer
- Cudicini, Alnwick, J.Walker. Need a new back up, wouldn't be surprised to see David James coming in.

Sandro and perhaps Mbola already on their way in.

Don't do too many changes, keep and build on what we got.

I'd be tempted to sell couple of our strikers and get some real talent in.
Keane and Pavlyuchenko out.
Mario Balotelli and Romelu Lukaku in.

Try and sign Gerrard! lol...

Let's not get too carried away here, 4th place = prelims and a very tough tie to get into the CL proper.

We won't catch Arsenal as Fulham will pretty much play their reserve team with the Europa League final to play for.

I do think we need to not do an Everton and strengthen where really possible, but Levy's approach to signings has has proven succesfull so i do not expect massive signings... maybe 1 coup, with the rest mainlky being promising talent.

If we can sign any decent Liverpool player to weaken them though, that helps also for next season! Lol, though actually other than Gerrard and/or Torres (possibly Johnson) who else is worth having?

Dzeko looks promising.

Gotta agree with Dynamo here, BAE is a seriously good LB, and I seriously doubt we could ever find an upgrade on him

Yep and for 2 seasons now.

People are talking about Sandro as if we know he's a great player, when really we don't yet.

A prolific striker who can take more of the many chances that we create, JD is good but he's not accurate enough imo. Too many wasted attempts.

Or maybe someone to give him some real chances on goal ? Since Lennons injury he hasn't had a lot of real service to pounce upon has he ?

So maybe it;s not the strikers but the playmakers ?

spot on
a quality striker is a must buy fro next season
if only klinsmann or a lineker was in this current team (with ginola on the left)
we would be awesome

I would take Berbatov back. Him and Modric would combine brilliantly. I'd be very happy with Berba, Defoe, Keane, Crouch as the strikers next year.

the top top names like villa etc are clearly still out of reach...i cannot really think of any names now that woudl fit the profile. Its tough decisions as we already have a big squad probably will need to sell before we buy. Here is what i want to happen this summer (no big changes):

Out
Pav
Jenas

In
Luiz Suarez
Sandro (done)
maybe another CB (concern for king and woodgate)

Plus now that Pav seems to be happy to stay because he is playing I've seen several posts saying he should be ditched ?

Keane, Jenas, Hutton, O'Hara, Giovani, Taarabt, those 6 out gives us over 25m I reckon. Invest all of that in a top quality number 9 (with some of our own cash if necessary), someone who can both play with a partner or lead the line on his own. Who? I know not.

A new back up goalie would be nice too, and a bright young left back to play Ekotto's reserve.

GKGomes NewGK Cudicini
RB Kaboul Corluka
CB Dawson Woodgate
CB King Bassong
LB Ekotto NewLB
RW Lennon Bentley
CM Modric Palacios
LW Huddlestone Sandro
CM Bale Kranjcar
CF Defoe Pavlyuchenko
CF New#9 Crouch

with Rose and Naughton as good, versatile young players making up the final two slots of our allocated 25. This leaves us with a squad of 2 for each position, not too much tinkering with a successful side, and several versatile players who can play 2 or 3 positions.
100% This! Except also Eidur if poss mabye get rid of Pav get in Eidur for his experience and then get a world class n.o9 and a good LB Baines mabye.
SORTED!

I would get rid of Pav as he has value in the transfer market and he isn't good enough to start as #1 striker and keep Gudjohnsen. There's no need for a new LB as BAE is excellent and Bale can cover if need be.

Well, we're keeping Crouch and Defoe for sure.
And if we're going to sign the type of striker that most would agree we need, then he'd be in direct competition to Pavlyuchenko.

Both Keane and Pavlyuchenko are aging players who will devalue in coming years, wouldn't be surprised if this is in the back of Levy's mind.
They can fetch £20m now or be released in 3 years time.

I like Pav though, would be happy to see him in a Spurs shirt next season.
But then I'm not sure we'd be able to sign other attackers.

What everyone says. Keep the squad together bar the (adult) loanees and maybe JJ, get an experienced back-up for Gomes and a shit-hot striker to replace Pav & Keane. We have to make a call on Woodgate - if he's gone then we've got to be looking for a replacement.

If we get into the CL then we have four competitions to keep everyone happy and blood the youngsters. I'm pretty happy with our options in midfield even if Sandro doesn't integrate/is rubbish.

I would like to see and i have ranked them in terms of priorities:

1. Goal scoring center midfielder - Tim Cahill would be perfect
2. Backup goalkeeper
3. Left winger - basically the clone of Lennon for the left side. A fast, attacking winger thats gets to the byline.
4. Striker - Maybe, depends what happens with Gudjohsen and Keane.
