OK, this one is a little outlandish, and it would be an immense test of Harry's man management, and some real work on the training ground.... but Adriano? The bloke has fallen from his pedestal big time, but he was doing alright for Inter before he went AWOL. Could he cut it at the top level? Just an idea.

No chance Adriano will ever be a top player again.

He's lost the motivation and won't get it back. He takes the party boy lifestyle to a whole other level.

When he's in Brazil (which is as much as he possibly can be) he spends most of his time:

Partying with gangsters and drug dealers, screwing chicks, drinking and allegedly doing drugs.

Harry wouldn't touch him with a barge pole and for good reason.

Llorente or Benzema in a dream

Toivonnen, Castagnios or Van Wolfswinkel should be seriously considered

We'll end up with Wickham... who'll be loaned back to Ipswich.

brasil spur have you seen much of Damiao? I know its slightly random its just I half jokingly scouted him about six months ago and he's now in the brazil squad. Looks to be the sort of athletic centre forward we should be looking at no?

Luc Castaignos have already signed with Internazionale,
shame cause he'll become a super star.

He could go the same way as Arnautovic. He'll get almost no game time at Inter in the near future since they have Eto'o, Milito, Pandev and Pazzini and then Sneijder taking another inevitable attacking role. Arnautovic went there being touted as a potential superstar and now he is with Werder having left Inter after only a year.

It'll be tough for Castaignos to break through there and maybe he'll not stick it out. Who knows but I certainly think it is still one to be monitored.

Higuain would be my first choice ahead of any other striker out there. Shame there's no chance.

I actually think we could do far far worse that a Mr Ruud Van Nistelrooy. His scoring record is nothing short of remarkable, and he's still scoring for Hamburg despite them being average at best.

If we are unprepared to pay top dollar, then I think he would be an amazing signing, regardless of age.

Toivonnen looks like the right type of player. Huge and great on the ball. Another West Ham fiasco and I may try and boot up myself.

We will get nobody. Can't pay wages. Don't trust youth. So unless you want Crouch, Pav, Defoe and Keane....you've already lost the contest.

My pick for the striker is Radamel Falcao.

- Right footed but is comfortable on his left
- Strong enough and uses well his physique (Despite not being very tall or buff)
- Can play off the shoulder of the last defender
- A very good link up striker, can move out wide, has great technical ability (first touch and good dribbling)
- Can play as the lone striker
- Takes up intelligent positions in and out the box
- Clinical finisher. Can score long range screamers, bycicle kicks, tap ins, headers (he's brilliant at this considering he's not very tall but he gets away from his marker very well)

I think 20-25 million might enough to snap him up as I think Porto are in need of the money too. I wonder how much he's on in terms of wages though

I'm convinced that this summer we're going to go for broke on a big name striker. Whether we make the CL or not, we need to signal our ambition to both our own star players and to the rest of the league. With Keane certain to leave, Pav likely to go and question marks over Defoe, theres no way we can sit our on laurels and make excuses- we will NEED a striker.

I also think that this summer Harry will have the England job in the back of his mind, and in turn will be desperate to make his final season at Spurs a good one. This will mean he wont be afraid of risking big money, safe in the knowledge he probably wont be here to suffer the backlash if the player is a flop. We were clearly out for a striker in January but a combination of poor organisation and Harry's indecisiveness left us short. In the summer we will have neither of these issues.

Its going to be a matter of who rather than if.

I find it funny that everyone is still getting their hopes up for a big name striker signing in summer. Have you not remembered what has happened during the past three windows?

Because Ipswich play him on the wing alot of the time.

This.

Also, a lot of Wickham's apprearances this season have seen him come off the bench instead of starting - especially whilst Keane was in charge.

If he has another season in the Championship, and becomes a regular starter, I'd put money on him being top scorer in that division. That's why I think we should sign him in the summer (even if we loan him back to them for another season). He's the real deal.

I'd like to see us sign Vucinic for next season. Partnering him with someone like Hulk would be amazing, but that's fairytale stuff I think. Despite the bashing he gets these days, I still think Jermain Defoe will be worth keeping.

Not really fairytale stuff because we will definitely need 2 top class strikers next season because Gio,Keane will definitely leave and almost certainly 2 from Pav/Crouch/Defoe.I personally don't care which one we decide to keep because they all have equal merits and drawbacks.

Personally I'd just get rid of Defoe, he'd command the highest price tag and we all know that he's not as good as the media would have you believe. TBH we would be better off with Robbie back at the minute, at least he puts in a decent shift.

I'd like us to get a good young striker who doesn't think he's chocolate. So our best bet would be the Dutch or German league. Not sure whats on offer over there but the last thing we need is a prima donna!

Maybe but I think I'm leaning the other way with it. Not that I want a prima donna but I'd love to see us get in someone who supremely confident in himself even to the point of being irritating to fans of other clubs. None of our strikers right now really have that self belief and hard edge that is needed especially against the smaller clubs. Someone like that would just see the smaller clubs as a chance to boost his goal tally and would want to put them to the sword.

Strikers in general are egotistical bastards anyway, I just think we need someone up top that believes in himself unwaveringly and that everyone else in the squad believes in. Berbatov had it, Drogba has it, Tevez has it, Rooney has it, Suarez seems to have it...Crouchie??? Not so much.

Very difficult thinking of a striker.

With our budget (which I fully agree with) we should be looking at Lakuka plus Wickham and I would like to see Llorente and Benzema...keep one from Crouch Defoe Pav Keane (if wet spam get relegated)
