Would love Theo Hernandez. Wonderful player.

We should be going huge for lwb rwb and lcb 50m per player get real quality as they’re so key for us. Spending 150m and selling Emerson 20m, Sanchez 25m reguillon 30m so 75m net spend would be epic.

I then would go big in a CM, either a m-Savic quality player, sell winks 15m, lo celso 25m, ndombele 10m, net spend of 15-20m.

then try to fill other positions with cheap or free buys. 4 players of that price point and quality would transform us hugely.
Please provide your picks and in-depth analysis as to why you would choose each player, their strengths and weaknesses as well as their favourite dog breed.

meslier is not a great gk imo. not been in a great side admittedly but made his fair share of blunders this season, probably cost them more points than won them with motm displays.

Lautaro is absolutely class, another two excellent goals from him tonight. If we are looking for a high profile striker he’d be a fantastic choice.
He should be our primary forward target. With Kane, Son, Lautaro and Kulusevski we should have enough goal production. If we can also sign a creative 10 a la Eriksen we’ll have enough firepower to mount a title challenge.

I’ve made up my mind. I don’t care that he’s 33, Perisic is nuts. He’s dominated the Copa Italia final vs. Juve. Up and down for 100+ minutes. Stifling and running past Cuadrado with ease. Ice cool pen in extra time and then a left footed rocket just minutes later. And he’s been insane this whole season, should win Inter’s player of the season. The fitness and athletic ability at his age are still at the top level. Ball striking elite with both feet; no weak foot. Consistent threat with his delivery from open play and set pieces. Will beat players 1v1. Not a liability defensively. Conte’s worked with him, got the best out of him (although he’s probably been even better under Inzaghi this season), and won a title with him. Sign him and prosper.
Him on a short contract (2 years ideally) could actually be a great player to rotate with Sess. They'd both get plenty of game time and it wouldn't send the message to Sess that he's being replaced as Perisic isn't gonna be around too much longer. Plus he's won everything under the sun - always good to have winners around.

The age thing is also very individual. Ashley Young won the title as a Conte wingback aged 35, while Jamie Vardy is still rapid and scoring regularly at 35 too (although he's finally slowing down now). If we think Perisic has still got the legs then why not bring him in?

Have there actually been any concrete links to him beyond wishful thinking on SC?

Ooo ambitious. I love it.

I agree with you. However, have you seen much of this chap?

Perhaps not concrete, but there's plenty of links.

Do you think he would fit well in the Kulu/Lucas position in our current formation?

Really like what I’ve seen of him, which admittedly isn’t a great deal.

He looked very sharp tonight, had a bit of Aguero about him I felt when watching. Was deadly in the box.

No, not even slightly. He’s a centre forward and a deadly one at that but he’s not someone you’d want to put out wide especially on the right as he’s right footed. His nickname is El Toro (the bull) which fits his play style and work rate as he’s a handful. He went through a 6 game dry patch this season because he struggled to adapt to Dzeko’s play style but even with that he’s delivered his most prolific season at Inter with 21 league goals and 25 total. He’s still getting better and better. A really quality player who some dismiss because he’s not massive like Vlahovic, but he still is great in the air and scores plenty of headers.

Yeah agree, same sort of style. A really fox in the box. I’m not sure if spending 60/70 mil makes the most sense to me and I still would love us to grab Dybala on a free, but if we were going to spend big on a forward I’d put Lautaro at the top of my list for sure. Quality player.

Indeed. I would be very excited if this was something on the cards, really looks like the type of player that can massively help elevate us from top 4 contenders, to potentially something a lot more. Lautaro, 2 quality WB's and creativity in the middle and all of a sudden we'd have serious weapons from all over the pitch.

Sadly think Lautauro is in a class which is too good for us to buy now. Absolute class, would push Kane and son to another level

I don’t buy that, personally. If (still a big if) we get Top 4, we have everything going for us so long as Conte commits himself to the club for the foreseeable future.

Exactly.

Romero is here and he could have a word too.

The only ones who stop us would be ourselves (unless Madrid or Barca came in strong which I don't think they will)

Personally I think if we really wanted him we could get him regardless of top 4 as long as Conte stays (although it might take a little bigger contract offer if we finish 5). They have an exceptional working relationship and Lautaro will know what Conte can achieve. I think there’s a very good chance Inter will make him available, not because they want to but because they will very likely need to. Really, the only question I see is whether or not we want to spend that sort of money on a centre forward. If the answer is yes, I think we could get him.

Barca are going hard for Lewa and Madrid have Benzema and want Mbappe. Arsenal look like they are going for Jesus (thank god) which to me leaves Atleti and possibly Utd depending on Ronaldo. Liverpool have been linked but I don’t see that making sense because they don’t need another attacker. I really think we’d have a pretty straight shot at him IF we want him.

Ah yeah Atletico and Simone could pose a challenge in that respect.

But I certainly think we could sell it.
