I wanted Lanzini before, and more after today's match.

Could be a very wise under-the-radar signing imo

We've been unfortunate with injuries but last night and the cup semi highlighted our lack of options off the bench. We have 0 game changing subs right now. There's nobody who you would say could come on and make a significant difference. That's the problem though, attracting players with the required quality that would accept not playing every minute

While it is true that we cannot buy super stars, we still need someone that can change the game. Not Janssen or Sissoko. It is true that Chelsea has Hazard, Costa and Kante. But for me, they have someone like Pedro or even Fabregas who come out when it matters. We lack this kind of players.

There is no excuse for Levy not to buy great players this summer. If we don't improve, we will regress like the after Bale era.

Chelsea can bring on 2 World Cup winners who are on over a £100k a week each minimum. It's massively different and something that's not going to happen.

We need to be ruthless in the summer. Ev

Out: Wimmer, Sissiko, Jannsen, GKN

As much as i prefer to give people a chance, Poch clearly doesn't rate them enough and we can't afford passengers when they have relatively high value.

In: Ryan Sessegnon, AM, AM, ST
Potentially a CB too if CCV isn't ready.

I'd like to give Janssen at least one more season.

Last summer I didn't think we'd do that much business but ended up doing quite a bit. Got a feeling it might be the same this summer as well actually irrespective of what happens over the next few weeks.

Considering we've had a lot of injuries we've not really been left short numbers wise just quality wise. I think we should operate on a one in one out policy with Onomah, Edwards, KWP and CCV making up the rest of the squad.

I'd say Wimmer and Sissoko are gone, so two replacements needed.
After that I think it's going to depend on decisions being made on Lamela and Janssen.

I really can't see more than 3 signings this summer maximum. It's probably - assuming of the required quality - all we need.

Agree, but the incomings will not necessarily be like for like, the balance needs adjusting.

Wimmer out - LWB coming in with Davies covering LCB. Sessegnon? Shaw if fit?
Sissoko out - New CB signed to start at RCB and also be a Toby understudy with Dier reverting to DM, or, a DM to cover Wanyama with Dier kept at CB. Maguire or Kondogbia?
Lamela and Janssen - if they go, replaced with an AM and CF. I'd prefer they stayed, but that remains to be seen. Barkley and Schick?
Potentially Vorm to go if Lopez is signed, promote Mcgee to 3rd choice.

Bentaleb, Fazio and Njie out - not necessarily needed to be replaced. Promote from within, Onomah, Carter-Vickers and Edwards, then reallocate the fees received and wages saved to upgrading the calibre of signings required for above.

I think the lack of a Dembele replacement option is concerning, however had Winks been fit, could have been different. Also, had Lamela been fit, Eriksen could have been an option. Equally, I'd like us place faith in Onomah, seems CM was his best position in youth football, standout player. Plus, should we sign a Barkley or Kovacic type player if Lamela goes, either could cover CM.

Perhaps Onomah will get a chance in pre-season to show his quality. All the youth experts say he's a midfielder and a gifted one at that. Poch doesn't do loans unless you're not in his plan and the kid may save us money on buying a Dembele back-up.

Berardi, Keane and Morata in. Financed by walker, wimmer, sissoko and janssen. Bentlaleb money too.

I would keep janssen and sell lamela ... berardi and morata will be terrific signing though both are out n out striker right?

We need more creative fulcrum in our team. I am still not sure whether to keep lamela or not. As i think with 3 at the back, lamela can flourish like eriksen.

Agree with this. A fit and focussed Lamela would be ideally suited to 3421, and for that reason I hope he stays, but the question will be, he still fit and focussed?
