would isco start for us with everyone fit? i know we need quality options to allow us to rotate but it sounds like he wants to be a guaranteed starter wherever it is he ends up(if he even leaves).
He would start for us in most games... the guys a class act!

I'm still banging the Demarai Gray drum personally. He came off the bench for Leicester last night and was excellent apparently. He made the difference. Short vid below of the panel discussing him and Rio Ferdinand being particularly complimentary. Describes him as their best player this season and he's not even starting.........

Beyond that I would very much hope that the below are our main targets in the summer:

LB: Sessengnon/Shaw/Chilwell
CM: Tielemans/Naby Keita
CAM: Isco
WF: Gray/Zaha
ST: Mbappe (unlikely)/???

Exactly what I've been thinking.

You mean like Walker, Dier, Rose, Alli, Eriksen etc ? (and Bale, Carrick, Modric before them)

For every one of them though, there's 5 or 6 Nkoudou's or Njie's.

You have any idea how many players Monaco churn to find the Mbappe's and Martial's. They cast a net, they hoover up lots of promising young players from around the French league and other academies, and also have their own decent academy, and then - and here's the key bit - they play the best ones, with the others being loaned out or eventually moved on. It's a model that only works if you are prepared - and have the circumstances, which Ligue 1 provides due to the economics and poverty of 90% of the league - to play these very promising young kids.

We have players like that here, Onomah, Edwards, KWP for example, they would have been in Monaco or Lyon's (and definitely every other club below 4th) first team a year ago, have about 50 appearances by now (Onomah and KWP anyway) and every UK club would be "scouting" them and fans saying "we should be buying these players before they have 50 appearances for Monaco".

And that's the catch 22, because the only way anyone sees talented young/teenage players regularly playing first team football is in places like France, Germany or Belgium, and guess what, once everyone's seen them, they are worth a fortune, even the ho hum one's like Nkoudou and Njie cost 10-12m, and even then there is no guarantee, as we see with players like Nkoudou and Njie, that they will actually be the next Martial or Mbappe. They may just be the next fucking Nkoudou or Njie.

That's the nicest thing you've ever said about Walker. Must be going soft mate.

I'd definitely prefer gray to zaha or sissoko (for half the price).

I doubt Leicester will sell Gray but might allow Mahrez to go at the right price...we should be looking/ attempting to get at least one of them imo.

If I had the choice it would be Mahrez. He is a tremendously talented player he can assist he can score from open play and set pieces has decent pace too, all round imo he's better then Gray.. Who isn't bad!

Wages could be a problem as always.

As is Eriksen and Dele. Guess signing Isco first of all would be about not going down in quality when making a change.
Who'd play of them remain to be seen, they're close in talent level. More than improving first eleven, it prevent us from having Sissoko coming on.

Mbappe mentioned by Greg Stobart as a top target. Has previously turned down Arsenal and Real Madrid.

http://www.squawka.com/news/paul-mi...-show-more-ambition-in-transfer-market/908159

I think this is great. Some will see it as laughable that we would try to sign Mbappe and we shouldn't bother being so delusional or some bollocks. Personally I'm delighted that we're finally taking this stance. We need to be ambitious and believe that we have the right to challenge for these players. If they turn us down then fine, at least we tried. I'd rather see us do that than slink to the back of the room like some meek little wetback that's too scared to step up and have a go.

After all, just because a player turns down the likes of Real Madrid, doesn't necessarily mean that it's cos he wants a bigger club. Clubs don't get any bigger than Real Madrid. Maybe instead that player wants guaranteed playing time or to be part of something he can see is going somewhere and doing something special. There are PLENTY of examples of young players signing for massive clubs and then doing nothing. Sitting on the bench, career going stale. If young players are smart these days then they will look at the overall situation and weigh up what is the best possibly opportunity to progress and develop and on that front, what young player wouldn't want to be coached by Pochettino after the way our current players wax lyrical about him. A young player could do a LOT worse.

Don't get too excited because that article in all likelihood a load of hot salty bollocks. I'm sure we will try to identify top young players in Europe but we always have been.

The Mbappe link is pointless.

He has arrived at the top level and is scoring in the Champions League. We won't be able to compete on the fee or the wages.

I prefer gray he has a lot more good years in him then mahrez, fits in our system better and imo will become a better player in the future.

Lol. The same Stobart making up all kinds of bollocks about Lamela. He knows fuck all these days.

I always thought he was one of the decent sources. Just Tom Collomosse from the nationals now?

His decision to stay at Monaco up to this point was to ensure he developed. Not driven by immediate prestige - bodes well for wherever he ends up. I'm sure he'll be wary of a move abroad looking at Anthony Martial, who was older too.

That's one of the problems. Hoping he turns into Margez standard is dangerous. Look how many goals Marhez scored last season. I also think they will sell Gray for a lot of money, 20 million region. Clubs aren't stupid anymore

I'd expect City to sell Augero and buy Mbappe in summer. Front three of him, Jesus and Sterling would be greased lightning.
No way, City need to buy a new defence and keeper and CM before they even think about their front options
