Unless they've come in with a ridiculous offer I very much doubt it's 'done'.
Yeah, very possible it's 'done' with the player (wages agreed, player wants to move) but if it was 100% done with the club as well, Walker would not have played yesterday and we'd have heard a lot more in the media.

Very often when ITKs say "done" what they mean is that the player has indicated he's willing to move for the offer on the table, and the club believe they can do a deal with his club.

This, and I'd imagine city itks are less scrutinised and more confident as the resources they have removes a lot of barriers that we hit, making less deals fall through.

I'd expect us to drag it out, get our main signings done before we let him go, similar to the Bale deal.

Re Barkley, there is definitely a real coachable talent there, and one that could be improved by Poch (although Koeman isn't exactly a bad coach either). He has a great shot on him and can carry the ball quickly. I do also have concerns over his footballing brain but I think he could also do better in better company. He's basically what we thought we were buying in sissoko. If we can get a decent price due to the contact situation I will be relatively happy. Still want the pace merchant though, which I'm sure is separate from this.

Re Walker I think a) it's been debated to death and b) we need to see a lot more of the details to really debate it. Would much rather keep him but also think we can survive it if we are clever.

When City think a transfer's done, and they don't realise DL only starts negotiations over the fee once he's already shaken hands and the buyer thinks it's agreed. :p

Oh, did we agree £40M? I meant £70M.

Some big news, then.

Barkley, you just gotta hope Poch can get the most out of his physical talent.

Walker to City is pretty freaking brutal. Hard to see Levy being willing to strengthen a rival. Especially one that I would consider a legitimate threat to our CL Place in the upcoming season.
Got to be north of 50 million- they're the sort of club that'll throw that at us and fairly quickly too

It is very likely he will go now. As of yesterday our season is effectively over and we know exactly where we stand financially. Expect stuff to start happening soon.

Oh well long as Levy drains City of Their cash, all these £30-40 million amounts banded about can't be true for an English player, England's number one and Levy as our chairman. Long as we get enough to replace and strengthen in other areas I guess.
