As I said, we may get someonebin who can push the first X11, play a number of games, but they won't replace a current first X11 player. If you think that's possible, who should be nervous at there place?

Wanyama has played more games this season than dembele you could argue he has replaced him as first choice.
If walker goes we will hopefully get someone that will go in front of trippier.
I would love to get a young xabi alonso to go next to wanyama or even a tough tackling modric type. There will be plenty of rotation and dembele and dier will get plenty of games but we always need to look to improve.
It will be difficult and we could end up with duds (as we can't buy a superstar) but we need to try. I want to win the league and challenge for the cl next season. We should be looking at players that might help us achieve that.

Can anybody tell me if Sessegnon can actually defend? I've seen a load of comps of him scoring and getting forward, but don't remember anything of him defensively?

Got a feeling we will nab him, Levy would be all over this and Poch is the best sell in the PL right now imvho

Agreed it would be a fantastic start to the window getting probably the most highly rated young player in England to sign for us ahead of probably most of the Premiership who have been following him.

Difficult to truly strengthen the first 11, but we do need someone with genuine pace and ball carrying ability in the attacking positions - a Mane or Hazard type. Another CB is probably required if we're going to continue playing 3 CBs. Then you're looking at someone to rival Dembele as the more attack-minded deep-lying CM (unless we're confident Winks can step up) and then again possibly another understudy for Kane if we have reservations about Janssen - this could be the same player as the first one if versatile enough though.

We're at the point now where we need to look for world class players or youngsters with world class potential. No more pointless signings to bloat the squad.

If it's true, can't wait for the stories on the Scouse press in couple of years how they'd have signed him but Jordan Henderson was asleep.

I'd guess he would get loaned back to Fulham for at least 6 months and then eventually come into the first team squad depending on how he impresses in training. I think he has all the attributes to play further up the pitch also, a bit like Bale so we might view him as a player who could play various positions (another reason why Poch would like him).
