It definitely feels as if we are edging towards a 4-3-3. With Eriksen playing deeper on side of say a Dier or wanyama. Much like city with de Bruyne and how Keita will be for Liverpool. You almost now have the defensive unit a pivot and 5 attackers. It leaves me kind of confused with regard to CM. Everyone talks about a dembele replacement, but maybe we need more of another Eriksen to play the other side of the pivot. Like you have d silva and De Bruyne either side of Fernandinho. Actually think that would be dele best position. It’s all so interchangeable and fluid now, it makes difficult to pinpoint exactly what we need.

#thfc are interested in signing Burnley centre-back Ben Mee with the defender currently stalling on signing a new contract. [The Sun]

That has the characteristics of a deal we would do. He’s been pretty good for them, and Trips stepped up after he developed at Burnley. His contract is up in June 2019...

He is the reason Keane looked so good last year, Tarkowski looking good this year too, being a left footed centre back that used to be a fullback I'm surprised he hasn't been called up by England

People should check out Fabian Ruiz at Real Betis as a good midfield option to develop behind Dembele.

Left footed, tall, and was formerly a more attacking midfielder and has this season been moved back to a more deep lying playmaker type role. Really good technique too.

If people are still looking at Andre Gomes I would much sooner go for this guy as he has a somewhat similar skillset, but is younger and looks more reliable.

The only unfortunate part is that he originally had a cheaper release clause (15 million), but just re-signed a new deal this January which gives him a 30 million release clause which eventually rises to 40 million.

I know it’s already been mentioned re Napoli reportedly saying Diawara is available and that we’ve had ITK before to say we’re looking at him... I do wonder to what extent and what capacity though. He’s highly rated but Napoli reportedly want circa £30m for a kid who’s hardly kicked a ball in 1st team football.

He has 67 Serie A appearances, 12 champions league.

Diawara would be a fantastic signing... i think he's a bit more Wanyama than Dembele.

Diawara is so young but already so composed and calm, bit like Sanchez and if he turns out to be as good as him in his first season then that could be a bargain at 30 - 35 mio.

He's a bit like both of them to be fair.

God imagine a Dembele/Wanyama hybrid, would scare the **** out of opposition players.

Rummenigge of FC Bayern said in the german Kicker, that they have no interest in Malcolm, and that the story is completely made up - lot of statements from Bayern officials that Bordeaux want to sell Malcolm in the summer for big money so they try every thing to increase the price...

Make of it what you will...

Not spurs but maybe interesting, he also said that they will keep Lewandowski - they did it with Ribery when Chelsea came in and made an unbelievable bid in 2008 and they will do the same with their striker now
