I really think we should have a good look at Calumn Wilson from Bournemouth when he returns from injury , real pace and an eye for goal . Nolito at Celta is another one but might be out of our reach with Barca apparently interested . Isco could be another who is gettable although I don't know if Madrid would sell due to there transfer embargo . I agree we can't stand still but whoever we bring in needs to have the right character and not affect the harmony in the squad .
Real transfer embargo been suspended. Not that it matters, we'd never get Isco.

You say that but why ? Personally i don't think it would happen for financial reasons but I don't think it's out of the realms of possibilities as in because of the calibre of player he is , He's not getting many games at Madrid and he wouldn't go to Barca , so that only leaves a handful of clubs outside the Prem who could afford him .

we do need a striker. A good one who can & will challenge Harry - not one who'll be content to sit on the bench, but one who'll fight for a starting place

I don't know who that is.

Other than that, honestly I'm pretty happy to stick

Only a handful - not us. He'd only go to a club that pays him as much as Madrid - Chelsea, City, United, PSG...etc.

He'd be earning two maybe three times more than Kane. We can't have that in our tight knit dressing room.

I do tend to agree as I said I don't think it will happen for financial reasons , but as its a wish list

Although i do think if we finish off the season positively we could attract players of this quality , just maybe we have to catch the next one before they make the big step up in wages . It would make a good statement though to the current players that we match there ambition .

We need more than back ups, you can't stand still in this league or you are going backwards, just look at Chelsea, I think it is always important to add 1/2 first team contenders to improve morale and create excitement for the players as much as the fans. Personally think a top striker to share the workload and cover Kane and another top central midfielder to rotate with Dembele

I don't think we will ever "stand still" with a team this young.
Every youth player we have will be a year more wise next season and possibly up their level.

I do agree we need 1 or 2 signings though.

I may get shot down for this but I feel we could look to improve the left back position. Ours are good but it's where our weakest links are.
Both have good qualities but if we could merge them into 1 player we would be sorted

I agree with Poch that we have to be careful who we sign as this team presents as very united and focused, with great leaders such Hugo, Toby and Moussa we cannot have any selfish clowns who do not want to play for the shirt!

Make sure we Keep Pochettino and for the long term - more important than anything else.

We do that and everything else will tale care of itself.

This! To me this is our #1, overriding priority. If we get this settled, we will keep on rolling.

It's not just creative ability or goal scoring ability that would be needed if we were to replace him. It would have to be someone that could match his work-rate, and seeing how hard Lamela does work, that would be very difficult. I'm again 99% sure we won't sell him, because even if he doesn't start, he is the perfect fit for Poch's philosophy so selling him would be counter-productive.
I'm not saying we should sell Lamela, just if we did, we need more creativity over another goal scorer.

Tough one for me. On one hand I'm loving the youth players being given a chance to shine and I think we have some genuinely talented kids coming through. BUT - are they or will they be world class? I think the squad we have at the moment is as good as we've had for a long time and probably good enough to build a consistent challenge for the title in the next couple of years as the young players develop and improve. But if we are to become a true contender in the league and Europe (the latter especially), I think we'll need to get some true world class players to take us to the level to compete with Europe's biggest.

Sadly that will most likely mean having to sell some of our youth who, although excellent, I don't think will cut it at the highest level.

No idea of particular players but I see us having to sell a few over the next couple of seasons.

Sell Fazio when he comes back, maybe sell Carroll if Poch thinks he can upgrade (dont want us too tho)

Loan Yedlin to get more play time, supposedly Lyon were interested in the summer

Hopefully C.C.V will step up, Winks and Ward even in the squad, we'll sign Mini Dembele & another striker Poch wants, but the squad might be too big for his liking then.

Out: Fazio, Yedlin, maybe a few loans for the likes of Winks, McGee, CCV, KWP and Onomah.

In: Gareth Bale and a striker.

Done.

A CF is the clear #1 need, but I'd like to bring Ina class DM if one becomes available.

At CF the two I like that I think could fit our needs and be available are Wissam Ben Yedder and Jonathan Calleri. I like their all around play and I think they could also play a role behind Kane if we choose to play them both at the same time. I also like Embolo and Lacazette, but I'm unsure of our ability to acquire them given the potential suitors for their signatures.

At DM I'd try and go back in for Christoph Kramer or Granit Xhaka. They could be acquirable for the right price especially if their respective teams miss CL. I think Kramer is the better fit for the Dier role, but I'm a big fan of Xhaka and I think Poch would like hi too.

If we wanted to go for a Dier backup I'd look at Leander Dendoncker out of Anderlecht. He looked like one of their better players against us and has similar experience at CB as Dier as well.
