Lloris

Aurier
New CB (our VvD, whoever that may be)
Rodon
Reguilón

Højbjerg
Skipp
Ndombele

Bale
Kane
Son

Hart, Tanganga, Davies, Sessegnon, Sabitzer, Lo Celso, Ings

Would that be a terrible 18 for the first match of 21/22?

No need for Ings. Put that money into a RB who has the defensive basics and can put in a decent cross.
And I'd have Lamela definitley on the bench.

Paul O'Keefe on the site that shall not be named mentioned Sasa Kalajdzic as a target for the CF position.

He is flying recently. A really awkward target man who gets best of players around him. Would prefer Weghorst. Can see Kalajdzic replacing Haaland at Dortmund, that kind of move.

Dybala was just subbed on against Napoli after returning from an injury that kept has him out since January. Scores on a strike at the edge of the box within minutes. World class player – if there is even a remotely small chance we can sign him this summer we have to go for it.

Hasn’t that been pretty much our 18 for the season, though? Or is Skippy the new Messiah or something?

Diego Carlos is the last player we want. No doubting his talent but another accident waiting to happen. Makes a ton of individual errors.

Why Man Utd and Spurs are monitoring Joachim Andersen — and will Lyon sell him?
Danish centre-back is on loan at Fulham and may move again once the transfer window opens

Joachim Andersen suffered ankle ligament damage before he kicked a ball for Fulham but his return to action helped his new club win their first Premier League match of the season and he helped give them hope of survival.

Fulham are three points from safety heading into their final seven matches of the season and Andersen has interest from clubs looking at their summer options at centre-back, regardless of whether he helps pull off a great escape.

What is his situation at Fulham?
Andersen, 24, signed a one-year loan from Lyon to play at Craven Cottage this season but they do not hold an option to turn the deal into a permanent transfer at the end of the campaign. After returning from his injury he has played a key role in the wins at Everton and Liverpool, playing the last 25 matches in a row in the Premier League.

He has formed a good partnership with Tosin Adarabioyo at the heart of Scott Parker’s defence and has adapted quickly to English football after the upheaval of moving from France just before the summer deadline.

Who is in the market for him?
Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City are among the teams keeping a close eye on Andersen’s situation. He will be high on their list of centre-back targets if they need to bolster that position during the next transfer window.

United are in the market to add competition in the squad to partner captain Harry Maguire, who remains an automatic selection. Spurs are admirers of the Denmark international and have used a variety of partnerships this season. Leicester have an excellent record of centre-back recruitment.

Will Lyon want to sell him?
Lyon are expected to agree for Andersen to move permanently in a deal worth around £25 million. They lost more than £30m last season, according to their annual financial report, due to the impact of Covid-19 closing football’s doors and offers of an acceptable level will be listened to.

According to a source at Groupama Stadium, they have already “had a serious enquiry from a Premier League club in England” but Andersen’s future is not going to be discussed until the end of the season when he window opens.

What would he bring to a club?
Despite Fulham being in the relegation zone, Andersen has shown leadership qualities which has impressed other Premier League clubs. His overall form has been good and he has been a standout player when Fulham started picking up points with a win at Leicester and draws against Tottenham, Newcastle and their home fixture against Liverpool.

Liverpool’s search for a centre-back in January showed how valuable an international-class centre-back can be. Andersen will go to the European Championships, where Denmark play Belgium, Russia and Finland in the group stages.

I wonder what the chances of us signing both Andersen and Vestergaard are.

Both CBs, both Danish, both enormous (6'4" and 6'6" respectively). Those two plus Rodon and Tanganga wouldn't be the worst 4 CB options we could have, plus Toby of course, who will presumably be moving on in the next 12 months, and we'd have a nice trio of Danes then with PEH. Would also free up Dier and Sanchez to leave this summer.

Let's revamp our CB options and sign both Andersen and Vestergaard. Vestergaard will have a year left on his contract in the summer and Lyon need to raise funds and will be looking to sell Andersen. Both just happen to be Danish and you could imagine that Pierre would welcome them to the club ( if he hasn't already been trying to convince them to sign with us whenever he's out on international duty). Sell Toby and Dier, leaving Sanchez, Rodon, Andersen, Vestergaard and Tanganga as our CB options.

Andersen would be fantastic. I actually see him as a very similar player to Botman, in that both are comfortable on the ball, big, tall, have great success in aerial duels. Andersen right footed as opposed to Botman being left footed, but I think Andersen has much better footwork and is quicker on the turn. Don't wanna here stuff about signing a relegated CB either, he's stood out in the league and was named captain less than a month after his arrival.
