My only consideration would be that Skipp is used only to rest Hojbjerg. I would prefer we see Lo Celso, Ndombele with Hojbjerg in midfield. Or as you have Sabitzer on the bench use him over Skipp. Could also do with an upgrade at right back and I would imagine that the club may listen to offers on Aurier.
So you want to continue with this utterly useless midfield?

Hojbjerg yes but the other 2 are nowhere near good enough to put his back in the top 4.

Sabitzer walks into this team.

No point to acquire players if we don't know who the coach is. Still a lot should be monitored and as soon as the coach for next season is confirmed he puts his squad together with detailed reports by the scouting team to whatever profile the coach is looking for in certain positions.

It’s seems obvious we need to sell to buy. Problem is, how easy will there be to shift players this summer? I had a look at the squad to see what would be reasonable. I’d admit my thoughts relates quite strongly to the probability that we have a new manager next season.

Certain sales - The category where it seems certain these players will leave.
Paulo Gazzaniga
- £2,5m - Time to find a club and play Paulo. Better than Hart but his time is probably up.
Cameron Carter-Vickers - £5m - Would Bournemouth want him? I think we’ll get a compensation in and around £5m.
Juan Foyth - £12,5m - Would want him to stay if we were to change manager but Villareal will probably exercise their clause.
Danny Rose - Free - Thank you for your service Danny.
Harry Winks - £20m - Unfortunate, but seems like it’s time. Like him as a player but looks like everyone would benefit from a move. Think we could get a decent fee as well.
Carlos Vinicius - End of loan - I’d keep if we could get him for around £20m. But if José leaves, and even if he stays, it looks like we’ll look at different options.

Time to move on? - The category in which, if we could get a good bid, sell and move on! Probably can’t get rid of everyone of these but at least five would be good.
Toby Alderweireld
- £7,5m - Seems to have trouble with Poch as well as José. Good defender still but not absolute top class anymore. Getting old, Ajax, PSV - come get him?
Serge Aurier - £15m - Good season overall. I’d sign him to a two-year extension personally and ship Doherty to bring in a new RB. If we get a sizeable bid though - I guess it’s a bye!
Matt Doherty - £10m - Get rid. Newcastle, Wolves, Palace, anyone?
Moussa Sissoko - £7,5m - Thanks for always putting a shift in and actually running us to a CL-final. But it’s time. 32 and on 95k a week is a obstacle though.
Dele Alli - £40m - Might be time, no? Problem might be, what does Levy think? Seemed to back Dele in january. A new coach might give him one more season to show that he's still able to deliver high class perfomances regularly.
Lucas Moura - £20m. - Good last few weeks. So please sell while the stock is high! We’ll never forget Ajax.
Gareth Bale - End of loan. - I think Levy will take him back. And with a new manager that sounds good to me. Astonishing quality still.
Erik Lamela - £12,5m. - I love you but Italy might be calling. Not a problem if he were to stay to. Great squad player.

Staying, right? - A bit like the last category. But this is rather than the club or we wanting to sell, would they like to look for a new adventure?
Hugo Lloris
- £7,5m - If he wants to stay - great. We have bigger problems to fix. Otherwise I think we should just be thankful and respect his wishes (if we can sign a replacement).
Joe Hart - Free - What to say? Wouldn’t want him as my number two next season but if he’s fine with being number three than he’s welcome to stay.
Eric Dier - £17,5m - Maybe should go under previous category. I think he’ll want to stay and I guess he can - still a player in him. We need to make room for at least one CB though.
Davinson Sanchez - £25m - Would he want a change of scenary? I don’t think someone would pay what it would take and I still believe he could come good. A manager that installs trust and a working system would be a start.
Ben Davies - £15m - Great squad player and seems like a respected man in the dressing room. I personally would want Reggy and Sessegnon to be our LBs but Davies might fill a role anyway.
Sergio Regulion - RM buy-back - Please stay! Zidane will take RM to a SF in CL and if he stays, Reggy stays with us.
Steven Bergwijn - £25m - New manager and I guess this is not even a discussion. We have a good player on our hands.
Harry Kane - £175m - Most important business of the summer would be to tie him down to a new contract. Corona will probably price him out of a move and I think he’ll be happy to stay.

Certain stays! - Building block (together with Kane and hopefully Regulion plus the new recruitments).
Japhet Tanganga
- Can play all over the backline. Sure, a loan could be discussed but I think he’ll play a role next season.
Joe Rodon - Hopefully he gets game time til end of season.
Ryan Sessegnon - Excited to see him back! LB and LW.
Pierre-Emile Højbjerg - Warrior! Skipp coming in will bring him back to the player we saw before the new year with competion and rotation possibilities.
Oliver Skipp - Very excited to see him back as well! What a season he’s had.
Tanguy Ndombele - Still amazed we managed to sign him, can’t even a imagine what a new more progressive manager might do with him. World class.
Giovani Lo Celso - Get fitness issues straight and we have a gem here as well. So, so good.
Son Heung-Min - Sign that new deal Sonny! Can be top class for five more years.

Youngsters - The ones closest to first team.
Alfie Whiteman - Time to go out on loan and play.
Brandon Austin - Get a whole season on loan to play.
Malachi Fagan-Walcott - Can hopefully recover from injury issues and go out on loan.
Dennis Cirkin - Seems to impress in training. Get him a loan as the LB position is fully covered.
Marcel Lavinier - Don't know enough about him. First team rotation or loan?
Jamie Bowden - Don't know enough about him. Time for a loan?
Alfie Devine - Still so young. Keep him around the first team and let him get minutes here and there in the cups and still play him in youth games.
Harvey White - go on loan again. Seems to do well at Pompey, at least before the managerial change.
Jack Clarke - needs to get a season with proper minutes. Find a club in the championship that can offer that.
Troy Parrott - another loan. Stay at Ipswish? Scarlett will get the learning striker role around the first team.
Dane Scarlett - as mentioned, continue as with Devine.

Conclusion - So what would a probable outcome be? I’d guess it could look something like this (excluding loans for youngsters):
—> Gazzaniga (£2.5m), Foyth (£12.5m), Carter-Vickers (£5m), Alderweireld (£7.5m), Doherty (£10m), Rose (free), Winks (£20m), Sissoko (£7.5m), Lucas (£20m), Lamela (£12.5m), Vinicius (end of loan). Income: £95-100m.

Leaves us with this squad:
GK - Hart, Lloris
RB - Aurier, Lavinier
CB - Dier, Sanchez, Tanganga, Rodon
LB - Davies, Regulion, Sessegnon
DM - Højbjerg, Skipp
CM - Ndombele, Devine
AM - Dele, Lo Celso
W - Bale, Bergwijn, Son
ST - Kane, Scarlett

Reinforcement needed in: GK (number two/future starter), CB, RB, CM/AM (Sabitzer?), W/ST (Depending on manager?).

Probably best CB we are being linked with , Botman has higher upside but he is playing next to Fonte who commands defence (made Lovren look good at Southampton). If Jose stays he will probably want someone older next to Rodon, someone like Dunk perhaps. JN would probably be ok with Andersen and Rodon starting most matches.

Even at the price quoted in the media of £25m, I think we could come to regret not signing him if he moved to United or Leicester.

I reckon it's Leicester who will have made the approach.

I'd give it a 3-1 chance.

Definitely, anyone who’s been watching Fulham will see how good he’s been.

And one of the main markers which always shows whether a player will make the step up in class is how they perform against the top teams, and Andersen has put in exceptional performances against the likes of Liverpool and ourselves.

I like the detailed analysis but I think Aurier should also go. I get this means two new RBs needed or at least one and use Tanganga as rotation. I'd far rather keep Foyth than sell him, but if the money's good then he can go.

But keeping Dier is a massive mistake IMO. He's not a quality CB, end of. Sanchez is still young enough and has the potential to do well in the right setup IMO.

I think we'd struggle to replace Lucas without spending £10-15m more than we'd get for him, so IMO we should keep him too, he's a solid squad player as we've seen this season.

I'd also put a case forward for keeping Vinicius for the right price. He's show great ability and a very good goal return for a rotation player. He's a striker so price will always be expensive, but anything less than £30m and we should do a deal IMO.

not a chance, will have the elite clubs going for him as soon as clubs get back to normal.
The only factor that could influence his decision would be that he recently changed agents- he now shares agents with bale.
so I’d imagine any move would be heavily reliant on
A) Jose leaving (and therefore bale signing for another season)
B) us finding the money for a position we aren’t desperate for.

So I wouldn’t hold your breath

Signing Andersen would be fine as a replacement for either dier or alderweireld as a ball playing cb.
but as Sanchez is likely to be the easiest sale(Sevilla) then I’d be seriously concerned that our back line would be short on pace. And we’ve seen this season that a slow defence makes a high line impossible.

We need a cb with pace unless there’s a plan to play both Tanganga and Rodon in a back three.

Good. He's got the combined turning circle of Michael Dawson and Tom Huddlestone!

(the player, not Ally Gold)

Multiple player of the year Micheal Dawson? The same Dawson that fans were constantly saying wasn't good enough only for him to up his game every single time?

I wish we had a defender like him now.
