How about Lavezzi now that Napoli have signed Vargas - more than just cover for Lennon and VdV

Napoli certainly have acquired some great talent in recent years (for not that much money)

I'd happily see us sign any of Lavezzi, Hamsik, Cavani... they also have Pandev now

He looks very classy and a good finisher whenever i have seen him

However he seems to have been dropped to the Villareal bench (even with the injury to Rossi) and his goal scoring record is closer to 1 in 3 than I would like

ok that may be the reason he has not played so much this season.

The article says he failed to produce at Lyon, which is far to say (he scored twice in 32 games) but that was his first exposure to European football and he was young.

If we focus solely on his recent performance (2007 on wards) he scored 19 goals in 35 games for Internacional (strike rate of 1.8, very good)

Since signing for Villareal he has 24 from 71 (2.96 strike rate) so he has basically scored 1 in 3 in Spain.
Its fair to say Rossi has been more focal in their attack so maybe he would score more in a team like ours.

Its tough to know whether he would be a good signing and how he would suit our league and if he would cost in excess of 20m I am not sure it would be a wise move.

Doesn't seem like it was that long ago he signed for Marseille and I don't see this one happening, not in Jan anyway

Perfect player for Harry to "resurrect" and put back on the map. He's got bags of talent and just wants the freedom to play - reminds of VDV, but with loads of pace!! I've only seen him play a dozen or so times, but he was the match winner in at least 4-5 of those games.

He can play in our line up for Bale (LW), Lennon (RW), or VDV (free role behind Adebayor). I bet he would not cost much, potential is unlimited... :clap:

Professional help?... maybe, but Rodriguez can flat out PLAY!! COYS -- Mr. Levy!!

Honestly just watching the fulham-scum game and Zamora is proving to be a real handful. I'd be very happy if we could bring him in as cover for Ade. Holds the ball up so well and generally plays very well against the bigger teams.

Flashes of brilliance! not yet consistant tho. Gives the ball away far too much. Bloody looks so much like berbs when he runs tho.
