The best thing about our current form is that we are missing some seriously top quality players. Vertonghen, Paulinho, Sandro, Lamela.. These guys could seriously plug some holes out there and make us push hard for a top 3 spot.

Don't forget Townsend as well. With Eriksen playing centrally, he's the best option we have down the left and more than capable of bagging a handful of goals and assists. Certainly capable of offering more than Chadli or Siggy.

Could be a very good team if we get our XI back with some solidity and even more creative attacking options.

Well, I don't have the stats to prove either way. While the team keeps winning I'm happy to see Benelab keep Capoue out of the team though.
The only game we won which we weren't favorites in was old Trafford where we started with Capoue. After Capoue went off in that game we conceded and should have lost

People should stop framing the debate as Bentaleb versus Capoue. Paulinho and Sandro will be fit going forward, so the argument is, does Bentaleb give us more than either of the two Brazilians?

But it just keeps happening. If the team was announced and no one complained about the fact Capoue was not in there (whether or not at the expense of Bentaleb) then we wouldn't have this debate.

I'm not a Capoue hater at all, in fact I think there's a lot of potential in there, however that doesn't make me blind to the fact Bentaleb has been very very good and that Sherwood has made some big decisions and on the whole has got it right. Yet people still seem incapable of admitting their mistake in being so vocal.

It's Dembele's place that is in jeopardy from Bentaleb imo. I'm looking forward to adding Sandro to the team to give our new attacking intent a better platform.

Which shouldn't take away from Capoue as he could really be a special player if developed correctly.

Really liking Bentaleb though; what stood out for me is - a part of Modric's game i loved too - he is almost always running into a position to support the player on the ball and provides an option.

Wish we could keep Capoue too though :p

Exactly but you know I can actually place a bit of trust in Sherwood in that he seems them all in training and knows just how 'special' these players will be. If I am being honest Id be more likely to trust him than many of those that spout such negative things on here.

Well we played only one striker today and yet we still scored 3 goals. In the first half we really struggled to find that final ball, zero shots on target until that wonderful cross for Adebayor. It just goes to show the quality that we have when we do get it right. We looked more likely to score than Swansea today and Adebayor especially looked like he could score with every attack in the second half.

Great team effort today. Now the key is whether we can transfer this away form to the Lane.

Rhode our luck yes but every team I seen play Swansea has then they have created there chances, Swansea remind me of spurs under AVB (not meant as a neg) lots of possession, shots but all out side the box. We may have been a bit lucky but how many times before our goal where we clean though.

Ade awesome
Eriksen my man of the match
Bentalab I thought very very good he controlled our temp what a player we have on our hands.

Was it raining or sweat ? As our players looked really really sweaty.

Finnslly goes to show the dif the Europa league makes Liverpool flying high hardly any injuries spurs and Swansea would def have a lot more points if we were not in it.

I though Lennon and chadli worked very hard but lennonnit his best game. Let's stop all the play... So and so Sherwood is doing a good job ;) I am sure Lamelas time will come. Be good to Andros back as well.

Bentaleb was good second half.

I'd be very interested to see a midfield of Dembele, Bentaleb and Paulinho as the AM.....with Eriksen and Lamela either side of Ade.

Think Paulinho would score for fun getting up and supporting Ade.
That would be a very interesting line up.

Fair play to Tim for showing flexibility today.

Probably our best league performance this season IMO.

I think it probably was our best performance of the season so far. And the great thing is Sherwood should have real confidence in showing further flexibility in the future - when its warranted.
