Didn't watch the game, haven't seen any highlights but read the bbc commentary throughout the game...I thought we looked knackered on Thursday and thought we'd struggle in this game. To see us come from behind twice and then from what I could make out, dominate the last 20 mins of the game, shows a grit and determination that's been missing from Spurs teams in the past.

Very happy with the point...a couple of weeks for some of our injured to get back to fitness...ready for Liverpool.

We haven't lost a game since the first of the season where we scored the only goal. IMO we're getting better all the time (to quote Shed Seven) and all the other teams are playing the same or are getting worse...based on this 'AVB' trajectory, we'll be top of the league by Christmas!

This is one of those games where in isolation a lot fans will say 'we should have won' 'if Poch had done X Y or Z we would have won' blah blah blah. The truth is if you looking at it in the wider context of the season a point away at Swansea is a decent result. It's a game we could have easily lost after gifting them 2 goals so I'm happy to come away with something and keep marching on. Better sides then us will drop points at the Liberty this season.

I agree that all things considered a point is a decent result, but the way Swansea played yesterday the 'better teams' you speak of would have probably scored four or five against them. They were dire.

With only MOTD highlights to go off, it's difficult to see how we really performed overall. Looking at the number of chances we created, and how freely we were finding the passes and space, I'd guess that we were the better team, and played very well. Eriksen seemed to have a stormer, and again we're blessed to have his dead ball expertise on hand. That second goal was fantastic. Lamela looked to be a fulcrum for each attack, and Alli just looks better with each game. I'll say that I generally think Chadli is a strong player for us, but he has this frustrating habit of working his way well to the by-line, but instead of cutting it back he'll try and score from an impossible angle, wasting the position. I don't really like seeing that.

My concern before the game was Montero and Ayew, and lo and behold Davies let the latter drift away from him, and was free in the box from Montero's cross. Naturally Gomis is always a threat, and I was disappointed as to how easily Jan lost him. Gomis is a canny operator, and he got himself between Davies and Ayew for the free header... Jan didn't even seem to notice he was there. Bad mistakes there.

Montero then caused further panic which led to the corner. Unfortunately you can't account for that sort of own goal, that can happen anywhere, anytime, to anyone. The only aside is the obvious gag about Harry being so desperate for a goal he's resorting to own goals :/

But it looks like we mostly learned to cope with that as the game progressed, and apart from yet another world class save from Lloris at the end (we have to be reminded of his importance of course), it seemed we were in the ascendancy thereafter. Which suggests that Dier and Alli did a good job with Siggy and Shelvey.

A point at Swansea is enough to keep me happy.

Swansea were not "dire". They have been on a bad run and are searching for form. Thought they did OK, but we were much better and should have won.
I actually thought yesterday that my Spurs are now looking like properly organised and powerful team.

That's the worst Swansea team I've seen since they been in the Prem. The game was so open that I'm convinced a better team with more cutting edge would have put them to the sword in the second half. I would even say that any wing combination of Pritch/Son/Lamela/Chadli would been decisive for us in the end. It was just our poor fortune that all that space in the final third fell to the wasteful N'jie and Townsend.

3 points of 2nd in the league, unbeaten since the first day of the season.
If you would have offered me that back in August I would have snapped your hand off.

What's worrying is Walker not learning to stay nearer to Montero, the amount of times Swansea floated the ball from the other wing to him was ridiculous.

Yeah not bad for a team that apparently will struggle to finish top ten according to some of the fortune tellers in here

He isn't here. Try writing that crap to his twitter account instead and maybe your negativity will get through to him.

I'm so sorry sir, i don't mean to post my negativity here, it was an emotional spontaneity yesterday after watched him playing good just after he came in, and then shooting aimlessly with no end product :(

I am not worried about Dier missing the Liverpool game, it was decided that we didn't need to go out and buy a DM after selling Stambouli, I'm sure the possibilty of Dier getting a yellow card or an injury has crossed Poch's mind, I'm sure there is a plan other than just praying Dier stays fit and doesn't get a yellow card.
I recognize the sarcasm, but realistically, how many players do you want on the squad?

The truth is we have a back-up for Dier: Bentaleb. He is injured, but how many back-ups, to back-ups should we have?

And, assuming you would rather have a "pure" DM replacement for Dier, who are you replacing on the squad?

Lolz no sarcasm I'm serious, I don't agree with everything Poch does but he isn't stupid I am sure he would have though about the event of Bentaleb and Dier getting injured, I know I would. So truthfully, I am not worried about Dier and Bentaleb being injured.

And I think it's actually easier to finish 4th than win the Europa league.

Much easier, especially with the ups and downs of the other top six clubs this season. This is why we should go all out for finishing fourth at the cost of the Europa League. We simply can't compete to our best on both fronts, as well as being in true FA cup. We've tried and failed so many times now.

Anyway, the Europa League is made even harder to win by the fact that the Champions League sides get to play in the knockout rounds.

The way things are going, Arsenal and Chelsea will be in the Europa league soon.
