Swap Bent for Anelka?

If this opportunity was ever a feasible option, should we proceed?

I don't blame Bent for £16.5M transfer, but on this seasons performances he rates up there with a "Shevchenko type" mighty fuck up. Levy must be sweating like a dyslexic on countdown.

He just does not look or perform like a top quality player, and if we had the option to swap for Anelka, I would bite Bolton's hand off.

Let him settle in, he'll come good, he's not even too bad at the moment and everyone is struggling.

WTF?!

****

If anyone should be on their way it should be Defoe. Bent is our second top scorer, from not many games. Give him a chance.

He was poor last night as were many other individuals.

But, from what I have seen from him so far this season (In the limited of playing time he has had) he has impressed me.
Not so much his finishing, but the way he plays on the last man, and movement to find space in between defenders, stretching the oppositions defence and getting in behind them.
He wins a lot in the air too, and with more game time you will see him improve and score more goals. Although saying that, he's already chipped in with 5 goals already this season, with the limited of time he has played.

Give him time.

No way. Regardless of the investment he needs to be at least given more time. He at least shows committment and has proven he can score regularly in the PL. We've already got one moody European forward and don't reckon we need another

As has been mentioned. Defoe is certainly the first to be shipped out if any at all.

I don't think Bent has been that bad.

Anyway, if a lot of people on here want to sell Berbatov because they think he's lazy or uninterested, what the hell would they make of Anelka?!

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, Bent for £16 million is going to haunt us. One of the biggest question marks hanging over him is whether he can perform in a rotation system and my fears are starting to be confirmed.

I would start Keane and Defoe over Bent any day of the week.

Why Not, he can't possibly be any worse....
