Having just got off the phone to my old man, I wanted to let everyone know that he works with the brother of Swindon's top scorer Simon Cox (ardent SSN viewers have probably heard about him).

So far this season he's made 52 appearances and scored 24 goals - the pick of them being the 2nd goal on this clip:

My Dad has just been told by Cox's brother that Joe Jordan was at Swindon last night watching him.

Dont shoot, just the messenger!

Cheers for the heads-up but meh for the clip.

Jabo Ibehre's finish was top though. I remember him at the mighty O's.

I think Reading are probably regretting letting him leave last season, saw him miss an open goal against the O's at Brisbane Road last season.

i watch swindon a lot and i really dont see him making the grade at a premiership club, might do well at a championship or even a yo-yo club though

Yeah I see where your coming from but under Redknapp maybe not, Harry does have an eye for plucking relatively unheard of names out of nowhere and turning them into premiership quality players. Wonder how much he would cost us

IIRC after his wondergoal recently, he came out and said he doesnt want to move to a top tier club yet. He wants to develop at swindon for a year or two yet.

I'm sure when a premiership club comes calling he will say the same thing :)

Lets leave him until he joins a Championship club and then pay a vastly infalted 16.5m after one good season

I think we could do with a decent young striker for the reseerves (Obika is the only one I know of, Mason is more of an attacking midfielder), but I don't see why he'd join just to play in our reserves.

Now I know he wasn't unheard of, but Redknapp did bring in Nugent.

I'd be surprised if he did go through with it. Given that he has already spoke of aiming for top 6/7 next season (as he didn't want to put himself under the pressure of going for top 4!) I'd hope for a suitably higher calibre of player.

Heh. My cousin, also called Simon Cox, used to know him quite well when they are both at Reading (my cousin was only in the Under 16's then), and it's possible they still speak on MSN. I'll see if he has heard anything.
