I'm not too sure about his pace, is he fast? King and woodgate do well as they compliment each other. Woodgate attacks the ball as he's not pacy a bit like Dawson and king uses his pace to get out of trouble. These are the keys of a great centre partnership, Ferdinand and Vidic, Toure and Gallas, Terry and Carvalho. Ben Haim and woodgate may be a bit slow together.
He's awful though. Seriously. Is this another Ben Haim that people are talking about? I've been taking the piss out my Chelsea supporting mates since he arrived at Stamford Bridge. He can't join us now, please!
Can't understand any negativity towards Ben Haim - the guy's quality and I'd be quite happy to see him line up alongside Woodgate (when King isn't able to :wink next season!
He was bloomin' excellent for Bolton (no snobery to that comment please as Bolton were a good team - albeit not a pretty team - under Allaydyce) and not really given a fair crack of the whip at Chelsea.
But, but, but he's a clumsy donkey. At least when I've seen of him. I can imagine him surviving in a tight knit defensive team but not an open and expansive attacking team. In fact, I'm doing donkeys an injustice. I'm sure I've seen sloths do him for pace...
I didnt realise he was only 26. He's been around ages and looks 36.
I'll take back my ealier comments and If he could get back to the form at Bolton then it would be a good signing for the squad. Might need the Hudd diet plan too!
He'd be class, kept Rooney in his pocket during the England-Israel game. With him, King, Woodgate, Dawson and Kaboul (if we have him next season and he concentrates for the whole game). We'd have a great collection of CBs.
