Whiteman
Walker-Peters- Tanganga- Veljkovic- Amos
Roles- Marsh
Edwards- Onomah- Thorpe/Skipp
Kane

Reason #2673 for why I hate hyphenated names; it looks like you've got 5 players in defence there.

Worried about Verts, looked like he was struggling with his hamstring in last 10mins last night. Hopefully won't keep him out but he'll need to be sharper on stopping those runners in behind him

Poch very rarely changes a winning team. It will be the same that started Bournmouth and villa

Team for Arsenal

Lloris, Walker, Rose, Alderweireld Vertonghen, Dier, Alli, Lamela, Dembèle, Eriksen & Kane

It picks itself really.

Bid decision between Mason and Alli and I think Poch will go for Mason but I'd go for Alli.

The only reason would be not to change a winning team.

Especially after Alli did so well against Aston Villa.

Disagree - Mason was one of our best players before injury and was preferred in CM to Alli today - he's now back to full fitness and was withdrawn early tonight, my guess is with a view to Sunday. Son for Lamela is more doubtful but I'd be very, very surprised if Mason didn't get the nod for Sunday

The relative performances last night between Mason and Alli should tip the balance in Mason's favour. Dembele picks himself at the moment (which is amazing given how he was slipping down the order rapidly!) as does Dier. Think given Son only just got back to fitness think he will be a sub but as encouraged as I have been by Lamela this season, Son fully fit is more likely to make something happen. Having said that Lamela's tenacity could be useful early in the game

Really surprised people think Mason or Son will start.

Although Alli had a bad game, Mason didnt set the world alight and looks like he could do with a few more games

I know it's not team related but have people seen the Sky advert for this game? Love the end that shows our away fans celebrating like mad next to the silent Arsenal home fans :ROFLMAO:

Nailed it @Mr Pink.

Alli's goal on Monday glossed over a much more ragged performance from him. And Mason's re-introduction has shown what we've been missing from the middle the last few weeks. Alli will undoubtedly grow to be a star, but right now we need to nurture him, and let's be honest, he's behind Mason in the pecking order.

When Son is match fit Poch's going to have a real tough decision on his hands. Eriksen, Lamela and Dembele are all playing well, and yet we know that Son adds something the other three don't bring. Great problem to have, but don't envy those choices in future weeks.

Sunday will and should be.

Lloris
Walker Alderweireld Vertonghen Rose
Dier Mason
Lamela Dembele Eriksen
Kane

I don't think it's as cut and dry between Mason and Alli as you suggest, but I do agree that if he's fit he should start. With Dier and Dembele around him he'll be less exposed and hopefully more able to make us tick, and I think he's much more suited to that role.

I think this sort of 3 man midfield we've stumbled upon is working well. I'm not quite sure what we do when Son is fit, but I don't think that's a problem for Sunday.

I think right now its a toss up between Lamela, Dembele and Son for 2 places with Erikssen a more guaranteed starter unless his performance drops to where it was at the start of the season for a few consecutive games - although Poch has been happy to take him off too when he is not performing. I think Dembele could do well on the right as well as centre and his come back to form is pretty exciting. Im still trying to get my head around when he decided to start shooting as it seems like he has been mentally working on that part of his game - before he was too mentally inhibited and would play the safer option but seems like some sort of penny has dropped

Wenger has ruled out Bellerin which is good, says Koscielny could return so expect him to start. Hopefully the Ox is still out. Glad Walcott is out always worried by his pace against us.

Or perhaps alli was played further up because of a lack of options and he can play further up the pitch and Mason was being given some game time to get his fitness levels back after a long time out. Either way both are good but alli has been a main player in the middle alongside Dier in a team unbeaten, i have a feeling you've jumped the gun a bit but both do a good job.

Both Rose & N'Jie looking like they are fit for this one, so at least some depth on the bench.

Thought OX and Walnut had definitely been ruled out until after the International break?

Yeah, you could be right - I'm pretty sure we'll see Mason in the CM position on Sunday but wouldn't be upset to see Alli in there either

Well if their right side is Debuchy and Campbell...we must surely be looking to exploit that. Rose and Eriksen up against these two could well be very significant in terms of how the game pans out.

The one thing I'd say in Masons favour, is it's Arsenal, local lad etc, and we've seen how much this game means to him...
