I don't know how people think this football lark works, but you can't just throw a guy on the biggest stage because he's been shit all season and is overdue a decent game. It doesn't work like that...

I can see what you are saying but Ledley has always been the kind of player that coasts the lesser games and is unbelievable in the big ones. Dawson has been great the past couple of months but he is always at his best in those blood and thunder all hands to the pumps matches. Ledley can play in the more tactical games and not put a foot wrong.

Ledley is our best player by some margin and whenever he has to he has had that little bit extra.

Feel for Dawson, and in fact if anybody should make way of the three it should be Woody who has been poorish for the past couple of months, but again you get the feeling that on the big occasion Woody will produce just like Ledley.

This is our only chance of glory this season and another opportunity to get into Europe, you play your best, you don't stand on principle.

Again no dispute about who the better player is. Ledley was absolutely fantastic in last years final. The fact of the matter is, Ledley is a part timer I can't remember when he last did a full season for us, it is not his fault but its a matter that should be addressed. I think he is in the last year of his contract next year. If he stays I don't think he will get the kind of contract like he did previously because he hardly plays.


A lot of people complained about the lack of loyality shown by Berbatov and Keane but what loyalty is being shown to Dawson? He has been more useful to us than King this season. Players should get in on merit, not on reputation.
If its the case people get in the side due to reputation then make that rule for everybody including Bentley.

Its a good point though about Dawson coming in for woodgate. He has disappointed me this season

This is our only chance of glory this season and another opportunity to get into Europe, you play your best, you don't stand on principle.

Forget Europe we clearly can not handle the extra fixtures of the Uefa cup that is why we fielded a weakened team and blew a great chance of glory.
