Jagielka is a big miss for them. Stones will have his hands full with Kane and I'd like to see Lamela, Eriksen and Son backing him up. Coleman always seems to play well against us so I think Son would be good cover for Rose/Davies who will probably be quite busy if Lennon plays. Mason in for Dembele if he's out and Walker back for Trippier.

Not too much rotation. Everton are a dangerous team and should be taken seriously. Would go:

Lloris
Walker, Toby, Verts, Davies
Dier, Alli
Lamela, Mason, Eriksen
Kane

Agree with this line up for a few reasons. I don't think mason offers the fluidity across the front three in the way that other configurations might, but he can sit and hold while Alli makes runs. Leaving Dier as an anchor in the pivot and allowing for some interchangeability between the cm2.

He was also making some of the best runs of anyone before his injury and think that there is a valuable creativity with added tackling impetus to his game.

Son in for any of the front 3 at 60 mins if we are level. In at 80 regardless of the situation. Confident for this one.

If Dembele missing for a few weeks is a disaster, then we probably don't have the squad for Top 4, and certainly not for any higher than that.

As it happens, I don't think it's a disaster. Midfielders who've not been regular starters in recent weeks/months:
- Bentaleb
- Mason
- Son
- Chadli
- Carroll

None of these are a perfect replacement for Dembele of course, but with 5 really decent midfielders like that, Poch should be able to shift things around and put out a team that's not fatally hurt by Dembele's absence. If he can't, then all our salivating about the strength of our squad from 1-22 isn't really warranted.

It's not a disaster in terms of us not having good quality replacements, it's just a blow in the fact that he was in top form, perhaps the most inform player in the squad.

Lloris

Walker
Vertonghen
Toby
Davies

Dier
Mason

Lamela
Alli
Son

Kane

I would opt for that side with no Dembele, Eriksen for me is a difficult one to leave out as he's capable of magic but he's been poor for a couple of weeks now, maybe dropping him might give him a kick up the ass that he needs.

We have Mason, Bentaleb and Alli who will have to step up. I'd even consider Onamah as an option.

Exactly, and you only need to look at Newcastle to see what can happen without Dembele.

We can either bring Eriksen back and put him at 10 with Alli deeper. Or bring in mason. But worried Poch will go with Carroll due to his training hierarchy thing.

Team for Everton - Lloris, Walker, Rose, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Dier, Alli, Lamela, Eriksen, Son and Kane.

I think Everton allow the opposition to play so I think you can get away with Eriksen and Son playing, no real bite in the three behind Kane but I don't thinks it's needed.

Love to see what Eriksen offers in the middle and see if he can take the opportunity.

Davies has been playing very well but to combat Deulofeu pace I feel Rose is better suited.

The rest of the team speaks for itself and with Alli playing deeper.

I feel we could win this and if we get an early goal we could win at a canter. Everton are going through a bit of a lull and Martinez seems to be under pressure.

Fingers crossed.

Glad to read you are now "worried" and not "petrified" that Carroll may be selected by our manager, although you presumably will continue to regard that as a "terrible decision" Hopefully we can overcome the "disaster" of Dembele missing for a couple of games..........

and you call my post bizarre?

You want to play them with only 10 men ? :) assume you meant to include Lamela.
