Ridiculously harsh on Son but, while 4231 works very well against teams who we are almost guaranteed to dominate, against a side who are able to cause us as many problems as we are able to cause them the 3421 just allows us the slight bit more fluidity to help then guessing and on the back foot.

I'm very confident either way, I think our current form going into this game could not be timed better regardless of formation.

I agree with most but am slightly worried about Davies and Wanyama, although a beast, not quite being 100% despite a good week of training ahead.

If anything happens to Hazard, Costa or Kante tomorrow I'd feel better. Who in the Manure side can do a job on them? Rojo perhaps? Zlatan if he looses it...

Like getting sent off? Please don't hope for injuries... karma and all that.

Really don't envy Pochettino having to make a decision that'll ultimately come down to Wanyama or a massively in form Son for a semi final. I suspect he'll go back to the team that beat Chelsea earlier in the season (with Davies instead of Rose for obvious reasons) but Son could have a huge impact off the bench.

This game is going to ridiculously intense. The hatred between both sets of players will bring out the best in everyone.
Wouldnt be suorised to see a red card or 2 or some very intentional dirty tackles late on if either team is losing.

If were losing on the 89th min id send on sissoko and vorm as an outfield player and give them 1 simple instruction................TO DESTROY!

We need to play 352 if Rose is out. Davies needs that extra protection from Verts.

If we play 4231, Davies will get roasted by their mexican right winger in the same way he did by Mane.

Lloris
Dier - Alderweireld - Vertonghen
Walker - Wanyama - Dembele - Rose/Davies
Eriksen - Alli
Kane

Subs: Pau, Wimmer, Trippier, Sissoko, Son, Nkoudou, Janssen
Very harsh on Son but it has to be this. Another option would be to play Eriksen along side Wanyama and play Son with Alli behind Kane but I feel we will probably need Dembele there to counter Matic and Kante.

I agree with the 3-4-2-1, Son on the bench and Wanyama starting. It might seem harsh on Son, but he's almost certain to come on and Poch had to go with the formation that will be modt effective against Chelsea. It's great to have to have a player of Son's quality to bring on in a game like this.

Poch ain't going to leave Dier out, no fucking way.
I think there are a few key players that define Poch's team and Dier is one of them. I think he partly went with the back three initially to accommodate Dier - If everyone is fit and up to speed it's a back three with Wanyama and Dembele in the middle. Eriksen and Dele will be supporting Harry and Sonny will wait on the bench until last 20-25 minutes if needed.
Unlucky for Son as his form is great but Trippier had one of his best games last week and then made way for Walker yesterday.

If Chelscum drop points today and we beat them in the cup they'll hopefully start to wobble.
On the other hand if they win today they'll be up for the double.
Come on ManU (goes for shower and washes mouth out with soap)

The more I think about this the more I think we have to start Son. He has 5 goals in the last 4 games and 6 goals in 4 games in the FA Cup. I have no idea who should miss out though as 3-4-2-1 with Dembele and Wanyama is a must IMO.

Pick your best team, doesn't matter who is in form. So obviously Wanyama starts. It is harsh on Sonny but he can make a huge impact from the bench. If Rose is fit enough for the bench he's fit enough to start in my opinion. Again harsh on Davies but pick your best team.

Lloris
Dier Toby Jan
Walker Wanyama Dembele Davies
Dele Kane Eriksen
This is the biggest game of the season now. We've beaten them once, and we can do it again. It's going to be tough, they're well drilled, coached well, much like us.

If it all goes tits up just go fill Stamford bridge on their arses again. Cause some ABH so half their team is out for the end of the season.

Chelsea best "be careful what they say" in the lead up to the game.

Not really helping solve the debate there pal!

Just a sidenote.....yesterday we started as a 4231 on paper but often became a 3412. Could this be poch trying it out with chelsea in mind to try accomodate son?

That involved Eriksen dropping into midfield, which I don't think he should vs Chelsea

I think we have to use this formation (although it's a true front three, not two in behind Kane), not because it's Chelsea, but because it's Wembley. We really haven't looked good at Wembley with a back four. It makes the rest of the team too narrow.
