Personally i would play erickson and holtby here, intelligent players who have set up goals and can score goals.
Siggy deserves a mention here, if not holtby or erickson, siggy should get the nod here, he scores its that simple.
Townsend and lennon to come on later, if we get an early goal and newcastle have to open and play.
But i will support any team AVB chooses to play.

Townsend has had plenty of game time and is not producing.
I think the more he plays with likes of holtby erickson and lamela the more he will learn.
its time to play the intelligent players and get the team scoring.
Townsend at this present time does not have enough in his locker to pick the lock, of park the bus teams.
I think he could become a very talented player for us.

Do you remember when Bale went 20 odd games without a win at Spurs we knew though he had talent.

Townsends is showing great talent, still finding his productive stats but its funny that his dribbles forward ain't counted as productive nevertheless so far this season he deserve to start games...Imo is showing great progress.

It was a good result we lost there last season and the season before.

By the way I don't think anyone should view Townsend
a hindrance to Lemale's progression or the team scoring goals, he is doing wel and taking his chance.

To be frank Soldado has to do much more he can't be like a Darren Bent type striker.

I just feel Dembele slows/gets in the way of the build up with Lamela and Erikson, so I would drop him here and go with this line up.

One will be inverted though so not dropping the whole idea.. Plus pretty sure Lennon wouldn't be playing on the left and instead on right if it wasn't for Townsends good form on the right

Quite frankly i dont know how lennon even gets a game based on merit, it baffles me.
