It's intrinsically flexible and allows for nuance.Yep. Point taken. But could this be altered, adapted, nuanced?

Lloris
Trippier
Toby
Wimmer
Rose
Dier
Dembele
Son
Alli
Eriksen
Kane
Subs: Vorm, Davies, Walker, Bentaleb, Carroll, Lamela, Chadli
He's in good form, but I still think Eriksen, Alli and Son deserve to start ahead of him for now. But if any of those players lose form or get injured he's now gone ahead of Lamela as first replacement.Leaving out Chadli is criminal.
I like that and Dier really deserves a rest but I doubt Poch will give him a day off.Only question mark is over the midfield pairing he chooses, I think there's a small chance he might rest Dier and play a more creative there. I thought it was interesting he gave Dier a run out in defence yesterday, I guess the thinking being that he needs the practice as he's now our cover if Wim or TA can't play for some reason, which in turn also means we've got to test-out/bed-in a CM alternative partnership. Given our embarrassment of AM riches atm, will he be tempted to drop Alli into CM and go Son - Eriksen - Chadli behind Kane? I think he might, so:
Lloris
Walker TA Wimmer Rose
Dembele Alli
Son Eriksen Chadli
Kane
Will Dier get a game off?
Who knows, but his sloppy mistakes could easily be down to tiredness, change in position etc, so might be worth dropping him for Norwich game, so he can come back fresh as cdm on the weekend:
LlorisBench: Vorm Trippier Davies Dier Lamela Bentaleb Carroll
Walker Toby Wimmer Rose
Alli Dembele
Son Eriksen Chadli
Kane
Problem with that is you are limiting dembele with that team and bearing in mind how important he's been to our side this season, the combination of that and not having a proper cdm in the team I don't think will be too clever.
