I would play 451

The back four is the same as yours.

Lennon, Soldado, Sandro, Dembele, Sig

Adebayor.

It lends itself to 4141 when you have the ball and 451 when you don't and even 442 at times.

Reasoning:

GK: Self explanatory

Defence: Dawson proved on Sunday that if we want to improve and finish in the top 4, we have to move on from him. Verts has no choice but to play LB.

Midfield: Sandro and Capoue picks itself, Paulinho needs a break, he has been very poor recently, and i'll get onto Dembele in a sec. The only change i'd make is Holtby for Capoue. Dembele hasnt been brilliant sitting back, but his attacking play has actually been very good. We also need somebody to hold the ball up for Soldado, and (imo) Dembele is one of the best dribblers and ball retainers in the league.

Attack:
Townsend and Lamela will be our starting wingers imo, and its time they play together and settle in. Townsend can be alot more productive for Soldado on the left. Finally, Soldado is our best striker, he starts. Simple as.

I'd honestly be even more annoyed if he plays with just Soldado up front. He's as useless as Defoe up front on his own and that's not a dig at those players, especially Soldado who I rate very highly but it's become more apparent every week that we have a massive problem in supplying a lone striker.

It has to be Adebayor up front on his own as he naturally links play better than our other strikers and he came closer to scoring on Sunday than Soldado did in the time he was on. Or it has to be Soldado and Adebayor up front.

AVB will proberly bamboozal me with his selections like he does every week, so here goes..he'll proberly have Lloris at left back,and Friedel on the right wing..put the towering Danny Rose on goal.i obviosly jest but it wouldnt surprise me one bit if he did it,he''s absolutlely no idea.

Spot on SMC - was about to post that team myself before I read your post. Lamela has to get a run of games now, Townsend has to come in on the left to give us a nice balance and afford us the chance to get some decent crosses into Soldado. Dembele in an advanced position behind the front two could be the key, I thought he was one of the only positives on Sunday. Pressure is on now and every team selection will come under the microscope, lets just hope AVB makes the right changes.
