Think this might change at least once before the game asI just can't decide, but...

Lloris
Walker Dawson Verts Rose
Goalinho Sandro
Lamela Holtby Eriksen
Soldado
Bench: Brad, Chiri, Fryers, Dembele, Townsend, Chad/siggs, Defoe
If kaboul is fit then he comes in for Dawson and Daws goes on the bench for chiri.
Sandro sits and Goalinho pushes on and joins in attacks.
If Rose isn't fit then Fryers there and Naughton on the bench and Chad on the left of the three...ah I give up...just don't know...AVB has got a fantastic headache on his hands:D
What a squad we're building!

Interesting, Sandro and Lamela aren't fit enough yet and you would drop Townsend?

And Fryers over Naughton, I strongly question that judgement.

In this fixture last year Bales Mrs decided to have a baby(cheeky bitch) and Dembele missed out also so that left us seriously depleted. They havnt really improved their team and we have fucking selection dilemmas!

I think if we can get the lane rocking then we can overpower them.

AVB has said Rose should make this, and I really hope its the case.

I really would go with a 4-3-3, with Eriksen as a tucked in wide left forward.

Lloris

Walker
Dawson
Vertonghen
Rose

Sandro
Dembele
Paulinho

Lamela
Soldado
Eriksen

Subs: Friedel, Vlad, Holtby, Siggy, Townsend, Chadli, Defoe

I reckon Townsend will start though, and Siggy most likely as well. I'm sure Naughton will be on the bench, and I'm assuming Kaboul won't make it.
But that side is seriously powerful and Paulinho would have less defensive responsibilities and he would have real licence to get forward. Ok Eriksen would be better centrally in between the lines, but I think he could still float inside and cause them problems, with Rose bombing on into the space round the outside.

This is the team I would go for.

I believe that the power base 3 in midfield is best to stifle their flair players and be able to get the ball to our front 3. Sandro holding would enable both Dembele and Paulinho to break forward and support when necessary (and press all game). For big games like this I can see AVB playing 3 out of our 4 CM's (including Capoue) each time.

If we are still level after 60 or trailing we can then bring on some more creativity to make the most of a (hopefully) physical-battered Chelsea line-up. Who that is can depend on how the game is going but Holtby, Siggurdson, Townsend, Chadli and Defoe all bring something different- what great options.

I would LOVE to see this team out (IMO our best 11, excl. Kaboul), but think AVB will go with Dembele over Sandro and Townsend over Lamela.

I agree, I think Mourinho will be cagey and try and invite us on to them.

This is a very interesting game.

Can't see Townsend getting change from cole, this would go for the creativity and guile of holtby/eriksen alongside lamela.

For balance I'd like Lennon too for the chavs.

Knowing Mourinho's style of play and team management minimally I could see him going for a similar approach to Wenger in a park the bus / counter attack formation and strategy. If we want to play the pressing game we going to need complete control of the midfield. Chelsea has no brawn in midfield and we have Dembele, Pauli and Sandro for those 2 postions and Sandro is the only starter to me because I honestly can't chose between Dembele and Pauli they both class in their own way so take your pick there.
As with above I have gone with either Holtby or Eriksen as our primary play-maker and final third passer. They have both been putting in magnificent work and game play in this position so again I'll leave this down to personal preference. I'd like to see some through balls for Soldado and not crosses as I think we can catch Luiz or Terry sleeping at CB with Soldado's trickery and he has the finishing to beat Cech any day of the week. We could also press to the lines at the wing and cut back passes, Shoot from range and generallly test them as much as possible to grind out a good win. With some good luck and a good performance in midfield and I'd cheekly say a 2-0 victory could be on the cards.

Paulinho is a goal threat but gives the ball away far more frequently than Dembele. Sandro is our top destroyer and Chelsea is a team that can hurt you in midfield if given comfortable possession. Likewise Townsend loses possession much less the Lamela despite his propensity to shoot from distance. Chadli gives extra height and tracks back very well. Kaboul (if fit) has the pace we need in defence while Rose (if fit) is better than any of our other options. Starving Chelsea of possession is the key to winning this game IMHO. They will get frustrated and quite possibly get reduced to 10 men. We can bring on Lamela, Holtby and Paulinho if we fall behind and need to chase the game.

I'd go with Holtby as part of a 3 man CM, alongside Dembele and Paulie. It's a selection headache because Holtby has been really good recently, Dembele has upped his game last few weeks and Sandro has looked dominant and tidy on the ball and Paulie has been fantastic since day dot. It's a great dilemma to have as they are all worthy of a starting role

Really looking forward to this game as a true test of just how far we've progressed under AVB.

Would also like to see the following team so as to dominate midfield:
Lloris
Walker Dawson Vertonghen Rose
Sandro Paulinho
Lamela Eriksen Sigurdsson
Soldado

It's getting harder. I think Chelsea represent a more cerebral challenge than some of late and to that ends I'd probably stick with Lamela, he hasn't been outstanding but he does play with his head up a bit more and that might count in a game like this, with few chances. If Kaboul is fit, he goes in, if not, I assume Dawson will. Rose or Fryers I guess. I'd be tempted to go with the 433 as well, but reckon AVB will stick to the 4231.

Lloris
Walker Kaboul vertonghen Rose
Paulinho Dembele
Lamela Eriksen Sigurdsson
Soldado
Against Chelsea's 4231 I wouldn't mind seeing a front 6 of:
Paulinho Sandro dembele
Lamela Soldado Eriksen

Can't be arsed to put what I want to see as it won't happen. What we'll see:

Lloris
Walker Dawson Verts Rose
Dembele Paulinho
Townsend Eriksen Siggy
Soldado
Lamela won't get a start because too early still.
Holtby won't get a start because... I have no idea but he won't.
Sandro won't get a start because he seems to be just reaching peak now - Still might be a risk.

Some positive news about Ramires tonight, brought on in the first half and taken off at half time.

He is a serious doubt.

His runs forward from deep and creates space for their little Am's so good to see him at least hindered.

Hearing a few of the Chelsea players got knocks tonight, Ramires being one. That could be pretty handy for us if he's out
