Everton are the new media darlings because they've spent a lot of money on mostly bang average mid table players. Some are English, and the 'proper football' pundits love when a 'big club' buys an English player especially if it's from a lesser club

Never mind they are bankrolled by the Chinese, that's by the by

They've lost Lukaku and for this game Barkley their two best players from last year!!

I look forward to the annual hissing and howling contest Everton fans engage in against us when a throw-in goes against them.

The most annoying home fans in football, somehow even worse than Red Scouse.

You underestimate Everton and underrate their players at your own peril. I would take a draw now

I wouldn't take a draw but agree he's underrating them. Goodison is always a very tough place to go, and they're still a relatively strong side.

Not as strong as last season, imo, but I think we can edge it.

Pretty much on the money for me. really can't see any of the new guts starting, especially as Trippier seems to be fit.

Shame Lamela's not fit, would have been a shoe-in !

How lol? That's a fact, they finished 25 points below us last year.
Okay so based on your logic we should have no problem beating and staying ahead of Man Utd as well. After all they did finish 17 points below us last year.

With the confirmed injuries, I'd like to see Edwards on the bench. I like Oakley-Boothe but him and Winks are similar options, the lack of Nkoudou and Lamela provides the opportunity to accelerate Edwards development. He's made a very good start to the season seemingly so strike while the iron is hot I say.

What will be annoying is if the bench has three defenders on it. That's just a waste of bench space.
