I think we could see a Dier/Wanyama CM away from home and either Dembele more advanced, as I think was suggested by Hercules, rather than playing Sissoko. Also, considering Trippier left the england squad with an injury and Aurier played, if he trains well then I think we could see Aurier get the start, so......

Hugo
Aurier Toby Jan Davies
Dier Wanyama
Dembele Alli Eriksen
Kane

Equally, if Poch fancies a back 3, Sanchez also played for his country and is also match fit so I'd like to see....

Hugo
Sanchez Toby Jan
Aurier Dier Wanyama or Dembele Davies
Alli Eriksen
Kane

We've not won since the opening weekend so it's fair to say that the team is there to be changed to try and improve our performance, which let's face it, wasn't great against Burnley. The fitness of Wanyama & Trippier will be key and whether we want to play Dembele or save him for the Dortmund game. I'd prefer the latter myself and go defensive in CM with the two holding midfielders.

Winks really needs to step up this season for his sake and ours.If he doesn't depending on onomah/TOD progress I think we will spend Big next summer on a CM.If I'm honest as soon as know dembele can't start it feels a little bit like we are scrambling for options.Winks has undoubtedly shown the talent is there, just hope he can now step it up.Just worry this injury had a pretty big effect on him, must be reason he wasn't with u21

He seemed to be ok when he came back from that injury. He said thst he was nervous before stepping on to the pitch but it didn't show - to me at least - on the pitch.

Wanyama is a out on Sunday and apparently out for an additional few weeks with injury. So everyone here that refused to believe he wasnt hurt, adjust accordingly.

Rose, Wanyama, GKN and Lamela all out. No word on Rose return to training. Lamela is in advanced stages of rehab work.

Lloris
Trippier-Toby-Jan-Davies
Dier-Winks
Eriksen-Dele-Son
Kane

Bench(ish): Vorm, Llorente, Aurier, KWP, Sanchez, Dembele, Sissoko

My wager. Suspect we'll save Dembele's legs for Wednesday and ride with mostly the same lineup for both with maybe Aurier swapping for Trips and Sanchez for Dele (making back 3 with Son-Eriksen up top) midweek then a little bit less rotation for Swansea and massive rotation for the cup tie.

I don't feel like we can rest Dembele with Wanyama out, irrespective of the CL game vs Dortmund. The league is our bread and butter and I'd rather put our best team out against Everton as we could really do with a win. Dembele could still play vs Dortmund, just maybe not for the full 90.

I think that is why we were in for Barkley. And I would say if he didn't get injured we may have got this done early. But he did and then Chelsea came sniffing. I would say this still might get done in January?
But back on topic yes we are light if we loose dembele or wanyama imo. And same with Erickson, with him out we loose so much creativity. I think you can get by sometimes if you have pace to make up, but with no Rose and walker supplying that we rely on Erickson a lot!

That is worrying on Rose! I thought he had actually returned to training before the end of last season. Has he re-injured himself? Is there any additional update on his return date? We really miss his pace.

If Everton can play Davies day in and day out, I am confident we can put Winks in. Poch showed faith in big games and if fit, it his time to take the chance. My adopted Son has such potential he just needs to get in.

Trips needs a game to prove himself and should be fine in a back 5, then aurier is fresh for Dortmund

Aurier can also get some minutes in a spurs shirt as a sub - only been with the squad a day and a half so adds to the trippier case

If Trips is fit Poch will play him v Everton.

There's no way he'll give a player the message that "we're playing a guy that's been here for a day and a half ahead of you."

Trippier withdrew from England squad, Wanyama clearly not fully fit yet.
Therefore:

Lloris
Davinson Alderweireld Vertonghen
Aurier Dier Dembele Davies
Alli Kane Eriksen

subs to use to affect the game: Llorente, Winks, Son
other subs: Trippier, Wanyama, Vorm, KWP/Nkoudou

My Team:

Hugo

Aurier Toby Jan Davies

Dier Dembele

Son Alli Eriksen

Kane

Subs: Vorm, Sanchez, Trip, TOB, Winks, Sissoko, Llorente

The team I think we will see is as above but with Trip instead of Aurier.

Poch says Trip is fully fit and available, Vic out for a few weeks.
After the last two performances I would go with KWP or Aurier over Trippier for this match. I don't think it hurts to remind people that they are in the side on merit and that the have to keep performing to keep their place

I think it'll be :

Lloris
Trippier Sanchez Toby Jan Davies
Dier Dembele
Dele Eriksen
Kane
Then the same team vs Dortmund except Son in for Dele. I think Aurier will make his debut against Swansea and Winks will start instead of Dembele.
