Agree and if defoe plays well and scores a couple he should start the next game

I wouldn't send anyone out there that will be due to pay against West Ham, with the traveling it will be a nightmare I think.

Friedel
Naughton* Chiriches Kaboul Fryers
Sandro Holtby
Lamela**......Kane......Chadli
Defoe
* - If rose isn't fit for West Ham, play a youth
** - If going to go into first team, who ever he takes place of or lennon if fit and lamela starts vs west ham

Why not use the squad players?

rather not take the risk, we have a lot of injuries already.

we'll still walk this group even if we write off this ridiculously long trip to the darkest depths of Russia

Injured, or slight injuries - Capoue, Kaboul, Lennon and Rose, with all of them maybe back next week or week after from what I can see. We don't have a lot of injuries.

If we don't use the players who are not going to play against West Ham or not normally in the first team there is no point in having them.

how would you feel if Sandro and Lamela picked up an injury that put them out for a few weeks in a game which doesn't really matter like I said. we'll still win this group, the teams in it are shit league 1 to championship standard at best. it's an unwarranted risk.

but doesn't matter anyway as I know as well as you that we will take a very strong team out there so there really isn't much to debate

Do you gain much by going to Russia with a strong side?

Again, just getting through the tie unscathed is the order of the day and even a compete stroll in the park against Tromso took its toll on three players.

Wouldn't okay anyone who is line to start against West Ham and probably more beneficial to give some experience to the younger members.

Friedel

Naughton Veljkovic Chiriches Fryers

Sandro Bentaleb

Lennon Holtby Chadli

Defoe

I would protect Walker and Rose... unless rose needs a bit of match fitness. Seem that AvB likes Lloris for away legs, think that won't change... so my predicted 11. :)

Ok lets play the If game shall we?

What if we sent out youths to play, Soldado and Ereksen pick up injuries in training and we have to use squad players to play. wouldn't it be better to have the back up players match fit and playing games?

think AvB wants us to do well in the Europa league, with that said, qualify for the next round first, then maybe use some youngsters in the final couple of games. get the job done first, thou i fully agree with the youth players.

AVB will have revolt rather soon if those squad players that don't get regular minutes on PL will be sidelined on other competitions too for some academy players.

And no, despite clear out at Anzhi, our academy players won't get a point there.

Well, perhaps they shouldn't train either as it involves risk of getting injured?

Besides we don't want our squad players to be rusty, competitive game is competitive game and you get much needed match practice.
