Forced changes maybe help us? Davies more solid at the back, Lennon come in and press more than Chadli? Never good losing a goalscorer though.

Assuming rose is out and that I haven't made it up that Stambouli has played full-back earlier in his career, I would go with

Lloris

Stambouli Dier Vertonghen Davies

Dembele Mason

Chadli. Kane. Eriksen

Soldado

Kaboul is a liability. And give me Bobby over Ade - we don't need half assed performances right now
unfortunately with that big "C" Poch put on kaboul's armband,.... methinks we're stuck with him for now....

I can't shake the thought that Kaboul is such a donkey, even when I look at his face I just immediately think "donkey". Thing is though none of our centre backs have really been performing well. There's just something wrong with the way we're defensively set out, we always look open. I don't know if it's because Capoue isn't really 'sitting' very well and offering protection, if the shape and communication within the back 4 players isn't as it should be or if it really is just the personnel. But despite who we have available, I still think we always look more open and vulnerable than we should.

Perhaps because we are shit? No shape, no tactics no passion. We look a mess and have done for a long time.

I just don't get how even bloody Burnley look more of a threat than us and more cohesive!

Oh FFS!!! Chadli's out now?!?!?!? FUCK!

New team(433 with Eriksen playing a more advanced role/the #10
Lloris
KWP Dier Vertonghen Davies
Stambouli Mason
Eriksen
Lamela Solado Kane

Vorm, Chiriches/Fazio, Lennon, Dembele, Paulinho, Ceballos, Sonupe/Onomah/Oduwa/....Bale:cautious:...McEvoy/Winks/Ball

No Capoue, Kaboul, Ade anywhere close to the squad. Someone gets hurt in warm ups, replace them with a youth who traveled to Hull.

This game has the potential to be very open and could be a cracker between two flawed sides.
That Lloris must be a nice bloke to remain calm with our defence in front of him.
I'd swap Kaboul and Dier and play Vert centrally....I don't want jog trotter Rose near the team and prefer bread and butter Ben Davis. Mason, Dembele and Eriksen in midfield with Chadli and Lamela wide....Harryboy right up top. Would have picked Bentaleb if fit. 4-2 Spurs

I agree. We seem to all want to play in the centre of the park leaving full backs exposed...then it's chaos getting in each other's way. Having wingers wide would surely be more stable.

Chadli out? Someone needs to step up to start banging in those goals from midfield. He's the only one providing the goods so far.

I think you've got the line up spot on there apart from perhaps Davies. I think Rose has been better this season and Davies isn't looking ready yet. Not totally sure on Fazio either but Kaboul's not exactly filling me with much confidence.

Otherwise the trio of Lamela, Kane and Eriksen need to start and Eriksen out on the left could work. He played well there last year, even ghosted in for a few goals like Chadli's done in that position.
