Yes we’ve tried Lo Celso at right wing it has never worked and he’s looked poor there.

I was talking more about Bergwijn and Sessegnon if just back to fitness chucking them straight in
Just play GLC centrally behind a front two. Might even turn out to be his best position....

We can feel sorry for ourselves but I hope the players don’t. We easily have a good enough XI available to beat Newcastle and if we match them for effort & intensity, we’ll do that.

Worth noting Lautaro Martinez is on the bench for Inter, seeing as the South American’s have an extra day for us I don’t see why they couldn’t start

A XI of Llloris, Emerson, Dier, Romero/Sanchez, Reguilon, Hojbjerg, Skipp, Ndombele, Lucas, Dele/GLC, Kane should be enough to see this out. I like the shape too, we won't be too open with this XI, even if we lose some pace up front. Weakish bench, but not that weak either.
I fully expect to Newcastle to implode under the sudden pressure, especially if we score first.

Terrific news if Son available!

I expect he’ll pick Ndombele over Lo Celso to start. Same eleven as v Villa could be the likelihood now.

Trouble is we have 3 number 10's; Dele, GLC and Ndombele - none of them are robust/athletic/mobile enough to play a box to box midfield role (think Gerrard, Lampard, etc.) so the way I see it is you can only really pick one of them, and as a No.10.
BTW I know that Dele was covering lots of ground in the first few games this season - but his transition from box to box when in possession is too slow - his best performances for us were as a number 10 higher up the pitch.

I would go with Ndombele and tell his he doesn't have to worry about dropping deep to defend - just make sure you don't let them play out from the back too easily. We should be able to stop the Barcodes with 7 players behind the ball, leaving Ndom, Son and Kane to concentrate on attacking.

Dele is definitely not a number 10, not even a pretend one. Not convinced Ndombele or GLC are 10s but at least they have enough about their games to do a job as a 10. GLC the best of them but I’d be inclined to bring him off the bench for this one as 3 games in the international window and straight back from Arg is a lot to ask and need him for the season now she’s fit and playing strongly.

A just fit natural winger would be better than Lo Celso on the wing yes absolutely.

Lo Celso has to be no.10
Well he doesn't play a 10 for the argies (and for your info Spurs don't play with a 10) and Sessegnon is not a natural winger !

This would be the side I’d start with providing the South American players are ok. As long as he doesn’t start Dele. If he does my head may just explode in anger

Very much agree

I might in the minority here but I genuinely believe Lo Celso is a brilliant player, it’s just finding his best position, which I agree with you is Number 10
I’m with you. He just needs to be a regular starter in the 10 spot imo.
