Yes. Im putting more weight on the fact its our last chance to play youngsters for a bit and if we give them real time now, maybe we'll find someone who should be playing wuth the team, especially in this busy period. Plus its a good match to give first teamers a bit of a rest before a slate of 6 games in 2 weeks.I'm looking at your suggested team and subs for Newcastle. Did you take into account this is a quarter final against an in form EPL team we lost to at home a few weeks ago ?

Apart from lamela I'd agree with both sides. Amazing how many of my friends and colleagues have called a text to say they can't believe how bad lamela is! I've been defending him since he arrived, not sure I can anymore. He needs to sit this one outMany people will disagree, but I think it's time for Mason and Bentaleb to both sit out the two upcoming fixtures. We have 4 talented midfielders that deserve a chance to showcase themselves and neither Mason or Bentaleb have shown themselves so superior as part of a CM2, that they're undroppable at this stage. I'd opt for Capoue and Paulinho in the Newcastle game and come back with Dembele and Stambouli, who were excellent against Swansea, for Burnley.
For Newcastle, I'd go:
VormI'd use Townsend exclusively as an impact substitute in this game.
Chiriches Dier Kaboul Rose
Capoue Paulinho
Lennon Lamela Chadli
Soldado
For Burnley, I'd opt for:
Lloris
Walker Fazio Vertonghen Davies
Stambouli Dembele
Lamela Eriksen Chadli
Kane
Townsend then. The keeper will position himself in the back row of the Paxton.
No, I know Lloris is overall a better keeper than Vorm, you said "We need the best keeper or we go out". So your saying if Vorm plays instead of Lloris, we will definately go out. I disagree.
As others have said, it seems people still think it's 2011.
Times have changed. We maybe 4 points off fourth place, but we are not good enough to just dismiss the quarter finals of the Carling Cup so arrogantly.
We've got no chance of 4th, will be lucky to be top six and are no danger of going down so we should be taking this very seriously.
Strongest team please, with the exception of Walker who needs protecting.

Erm...
I would have to disagree. If anything I would rather play a weakened team against Burnley. Let's go flat out to reach the semis. Doesn't sound like you take this competition seriously !
Erm...
Capoue, Paulinho and (especially) Dembele have had plenty of chances to showcase themselves. Mason & Bentaleb have the shirts on merit.
Are people really serious about playing Adebayor this side of Xmas? Maybe on the bench, but I doubt his committment to our club matches that of some of our deluded fans committment to him.
Vorm
Chiriches Dier Ball Rose
Dembele Mason
Ceballos Chadli Townsend
Soldado
Onomah and Winks to come on at 60 or at half. I'd rather see the youngsters and keep the important first teamers at least somewhat fresh for the next two weeks where we have 6 games in 2 weeks
