Edited the bench. No reason for 3 defenders on the bench here. Should have 2 attackers though.

Ok... 4-4 fackin 2, two wingers (kind of) whipping balls in to the big man little man combo. Dier DM and Winks box to box. After hearing Poch and his aging stars comment, I have decided to drop Verts and Lloris. If we get a little flat take of KWP and bring on Eriksen.

Sissoko adds a bit of rarrnnning about a bit if we need it later on.

It doesn't really matter what team starts as long as they turn up before half time. The last four games we've been behind and struggling at HT, mainly due to lethargy and malaise running throughout the team. Poch should challenge the players to have this sewn up inside 20 minutes with a lightening start and send them out really fired up. 2nd place is the prize three points brings, even if it will be temporary. But what a great position to be in hours before Arsenal go to Man City.

Kinda hope this is called off! Make an early call, weeks rest for the lads and get them all on the first flight out to Spain for some warmer weather training!

I'd put money on Poch playing 3 at the back

Vs Fulham, they had the physically strong Mitrovic that Sanchez battled with all game

Vs Watford, they had the physically strong Deaney that Sanchez battled with all game

And Vs Newcastle they'll be the physically strong Rondon that Sanchez can battle with all game

Btw, I'd definitely go with our strongest XI for this one and then the players have an eight day rest before the next match

With that in mind, I'd go with...

Lloris
Trippier
Verts
Toby
Sanchez
Rose
Winks
Sissoko
Eriksen
Son
Llorente (got to give him at least a half after his goal the other night)

Lloris

KWP Alderweireld Vertonghen Rose

Winks Sissoko

Lamela Eriksen Son

Llorente

OR (if a back three )

Lloris

Alderweireld Sanchez Vertonghan

KWP Winks Sissoko Rose

Eriksen Son

Llorente

Would be tempted to put Dier in back three over Sanchez as combined really well with Alderweireld and Vertonghen previously but he may still need a bit more time to get over his op.
