TBF these days laying down, drinking bolly and eating canape's whilst watching movies in 1st/business class isn't really as taxing as you might think ;)

But what about if you've got hammered on the flight! Could be hungover to the balls lol

Everyone seems to have different teams.

RB, LB and Verts pick themselves. Can't work out if he'll stick with Daws or go for Kaboom.

Obviously Soldado starts and he's hinted heavily that Lamela won't so that leaves Chads and Townsend supporting, so it's down to the midfield three. I hope he's brave, drops Dembele and plays Eriksen just ahead of Paulinho and Sandro

I don't think he needs to be brave to make this decision, its the smart thing to do. Eriksen's been bought for a reason, he's fit, so why not start him?

If AVB decides its too early for Eriksen then he has to play Holtby instead. If we line up with Sandro, Paulihno and Dembele I will be seriously underwhelmed, to say the least.

Indeed. Norwich will be playing for a draw; packing out the centre is the last thing we want to do.

It's going to be a case of (probably) having to pick the lock of the Norwich defence. The players to do it will be Eriksen and Lamela. I don't think this is a game for Townsend. He probably won't get a great deal of space and resorting to pot shots from outside the box is not a good option.

Soldado and Defoe up front

Lamela Paulinhio Eriksen Lennon in midfield

Lets go for it and be attacking for a change. It's at home to Norwich FFS.

I totally get where you're coming from, but apart from Lennon being injured, Lamela only having trained for 2 days with the 1st team and according to AVB most likely on the bench, and AVB instilling every tactic in the team except 4-4-2 then I'd say you're on to something ;)

I think Sandro holding, Paulinho joining the attack more regularly and Eriksen floating and pulling the strings is plenty attacking, especially with Chadli and Townsend supporting Soldado. I really feel only subtle changes are needed to turn us from a team of monsters who are good at keeping the ball but not creating chances, into a mixture of monsters and gifted artisans who create a plethora of chances

We're going to see Sandro, Paulinho and Dembele in midfield aren't we.

Why do you say this? I think it is more likely that we'll see Sandro/Paulinho/Holtby

Holtby should be fresher than most having not been on international break so I can seen AVB giving him the nod. He deserves it on his recent performances in the Europa league and U21s.

Hope I'm wrong, but just have a feeling that he will take his time to integrate the new players.

Couldn't agree more. We desperately need a player in midfield that moves the ball quickly. For me, Sandro/Paulinho in behind Holtby is the perfect trio for right now. Eventually that will most likely shift to include Eriksen, but Holtby is what this attack desperately needs. A player capable of linking our deeper midfield with the attack. Holtby was so successful for Schalke with a similar striker to Soldado in Huntelaar.

If he was so successful, why did they allow him to run down his contract?

you keep saying holtby will start, i'm just wondering where you're getting this from? what signs are there that avb is going to play him? he didn't even get on the pitch in our last game and that was without eriksen in the squad.

I just feel with how strong our squad is AVB will freshen things up for this match. Holtby not coming on during the last match means nothing. It was against totally different opposition.

I certainly feel Holtby has a much better chance of starting than Eriksen. To start Eriksen would effectively be telling Holtby he is a back up player, seeing he has been at the club longer than Eriksen and is more integrated into the squad.

avb did the same to sigurdsson when holtby was signed, the same will happen again tomorrow.
